Default Best and worst hair for cast members?

What were your preferences for the cast members' hairstyles? Here are some of my observations:

Laverne: I thought her hair was too short for her in Season 1, though the style was appropriate for the period. She looked better with longer hair, and it did get longer on L & S. Penny's hair had been much longer on "The Odd Couple," and I think she personally liked long hair as well.

Shirley: I've always thought of Cindy Williams as a short hair person, so while I didn't think she looked bad with a little longer style she went to (with barettes), I thought Shirley looked fine with her short cuts. Feathered cuts for her (and sometimes Laverne) were not period-appropriate.

Carmine: His hair probably looked its best in the final season or two. He had been developing a slight bald spot, which was later covered. In earlier seasons, sometimes his hair was too "big." (LOL)

Frank: Looked his best in Season 1. The later moustache seemed too wild, and while going grey was OK, sometimes the hair was very wild as well. They seemed to settle his hair down very late too, like they did for Carmine.

Edna: Would have liked to have seen her hair down more often. Always long and grey. Points for consistency...!

Ronda Lee: Her hair looked its best in the final season. Straighter and nice, long length. When she had it pulled back somewhat, she looked stunning. We get a better look at its length in that last season, and her hair looks nice.

Lenny & Squiggy: Those guys were pretty consistent, though Lenny's seemed to become longer than most guys of that era would wear. From what I've read, the supposed grease was just water!

I liked Laverne's hair in season 1 and 2 that's my favorite. I liked Cindy's short hair, didn't care for her long hair in the California eps.

My thoughts:

I liked Penny's hair in the early seasons, with the exception of a few episodes in Season 3 in which her hair is blonde and rather messy looking. My personal faves for her are Seasons: 1,4,5, and 6. I really like her with a bouffant...and also her feathered longer hair in seasons 6 and 7.

Cindy always looked fantastic and pretty much kept the same hairstyle, but my favorites for her were Seasons 1 and 2...I didn't care for her lighter, longer hair in the Cali eps.

My least fave look was Laverne's in Season 8...but I think Penny and Cindy always looked pretty and fabulous in every season.

I liked Penny's hair better in the first season than in the second season. It was a little too short and I don't think they did much with it.
