Default Our Son, The Man on ME TV Seems Uncut

If you live in an area where The Brady Bunch is shown on ME TV, check out the episode, "Our Son The Man." It had the long ago missing scene of Alice getting stuck in the sleeping bag and Greg moving a chair from Mike's den. Originally, you could only see those scenes back in the mid 70's, unless you have the DVD. There was also only one very short commercial break. I timed it on my DVR and there seemed to be about 3 minutes added. I cannot officially confirm the episode is uncut, but it sure seems close. Some years ago, someone posted this info and I could not find it in a board search. I wonder how ME-TV got hold of an uncut print? (or very close to it.) The only thing that might be missing is Greg making two phone calls in Mike's den instead of one, after he converts the room. But I am not sure about this.

I was shocked to see those scenes that I hadn't seen before getting the DVD in years. On all other episodes, ME TV is using the syndicated prints that have been edited as such since the late 80's-90's.

This episode was on ME-TV last night, and I can confirm that the Sleeping bag scene was included and many other scenes that I have not seen since the late 70's. I might watch the DVD to compare, but I think the only thing that might be missing is Greg making a phone call in Mike's refurbished den.

Somehow, ME-TV may have gotten a different print that was not a part of the more current syndication cycle. I wonder how that happened?

Hi Jack, pretty intersting info. What is "Me TV?" Is that by any chance another TV station for classic TV? I have DirecTV and don't recall seeing it, however I may look for it if it's a classic station.

I didn't see that episode but did see another one where it looked like the DVD. Can't remember the episode though. However the one last week called Double Parked (about saving Woodlawn Park) there is a scene cut. In the original episode Alice goes with Bobby and Cindy door to door getting signatures and gets a signature from guest Jackie Coogan. In the original scene he asks her over for dinner to which she replies her and her boyfriend will be over. In the scene I saw on Me this last part was edited out.
