Default Your Favorite Sitcom Couples That DIDN'T End Up Together

Valentine’s Day is over! So now let’s mention our favorite sitcom couples that did NOT end up together.

My list:
1. Dave Nelson and Lisa Miller (NewsRadio) - They had an on-again-off-again relationship since the first episode. However, in the 4th season they break up. Rather than get back together again, Lisa marries Johnny Johnson in the 5th season. A move the fans hate!

2. Sam Malone and Diane Chambers (Cheers) - The original on-again-off-again couple, they were almost married in season five. Instead of tying the knot, Diane leaves to write a book. Six years later, on the series finale, she returns and they almost get married, but once again, don’t.

3. Paige Clark and Spence Kovac (Ellen) - In the third season (Spence’s first), the two can’t stand each other. Of course, it’s a sitcom and the couple soon found themselves attracted to one another. They dated for all of season four and most of season five. But alas, they ended their relationship for reasons so dull, I honestly forget.

4. A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano (Saved by the Bell) - After losing Kelly to Zack, Slater focuses on getting Jessie. They date for a while, but in their senior year break up. And in college, Slater has found a new girlfriend - Alex.

5. Kevin Arnold and Winnie Cooper (The Wonder Years) - The series originally followed Kevin and his first love, Winnie. They dated for a while. However, in the series finale, we learn that they don’t end up together.

6. Brian Hackett and Alex Lambert (Wings) - In the fourth season Joe and Brian fight over Alex. During the fifth season Brian and Alex have a relationship. Everything looks good, even with the couple moving in together, but by the end of the fifth season, the two break up. Alex makes one last appearance in the sixth season, has a fling with Brian and decides she’d rather be friends with him.

7. Steve Rhoades and Marcy Rhoades (Married…with Children) - Steve and Marcy Rhoades were a very happy newlywed couple who moved next door to the Bundys. By the fourth season, Steve was ready to go, and left Marcy to become a forest ranger. She bounced back the next season when she woke up married to Jefferson.

8. Michael Kelso and Jackie Burkhart (That ’70s Show) - When the series started, Kelso and Jackie were a couple. That’s the only reason she joined the group and eventually became Donna’s best friend. They broke up, due to his cheating, but got back together. They broke up again, and while she dated Hyde, he had a few girlfriends, even becoming a dad. In his final regular episode, Kelso proposes to Jackie. She rejects him, and he moves to Chicago.

9. Steven Hyde and Jackie Burkhart (That ’70s Show) - After dating Kelso for a while, Jackie found herself with Hyde. They had a relationship that the fans seemed to like. However, it was complicated since they are pretty different people. Their relationship ended when (in the last season) Hyde came back married to a stripper.

10. Bridget, Kerry Hennessy and Kyle (8 Simple Rules) - First Bridget dated Kyle, something that annoyed her father, Paul. Halfway through the first season, they broke up and Kerry seemed to like him. However, early in the third (and last) season, Kerry and Kyle broke up as well.

Frasier and Claire (Frasier)
Alex and Ellen (Family Ties)
Kevin and Winnie (The Wonder Years)
Faith and Larry (Hope & Faith)
Andy and Bailey (WKRP)
Dauber and Kelly (Coach)
Sam and Diane (Cheers)
Some of these were never couples on the show but I thought they should be paired together.

Some characters really weren't meant to be together and at least I'm willing to accept it. I guess there has never been a couple on TV that I've wanted together. LOL.

Frasier and Lilith (Cheers/Frasier)

Dave and Lisa (NewsRadio)

Antonio and Casey (Wings)- I know they were never a couple, but they should have been one.

Margaret and Frank (MASH)

Principal Skinner and Ms. Krabappel (The Simpsons)

JD and Elliot (Scrubs)- Of course, they could end up back together in the finale.

Alex and Ellen on Family Ties. They were a great couple. Alex and Lauren couldn't even come close.

LOL - those 2 belonged together. They should have dated for awhile longer on the shows. It was like 2 episodes and done.

I almost like it better how Kevin and Winnie on TWY didn't end up together. While their relationship was complicated, and special, I never pictured them together in the end for some reason.

Alex and Ellen - ABSOLUTELY!! I loved them - and at least their real life story turned out to be a lot happier.

Do Daisy and Enos (Dukes of Hazzard) count, even though it wasn't technically a sitcom? Well, maybe it was, even though it was an hour-long adventure show. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAA!!

I would definitely count Daisy and Enos! In fact they're probably the TV couple I most would have like to see end up together!
