Exclamation Case Identification Thread

I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread where we can provide descriptions about cases, but don't know/remember the names of the cases. I have a couple.

1-A boy goes out hunting in the woods, and is later found dead. I believe the boy was about 12/13 years old. It's similar to the Boys on the track case.

2-An elder couple is harassed by an unknown individual at their home. At one point, some guy asks if he can have a phone call, and knocks out the husband.

3-A son and mother go on vacation, and are terrorized by some shady men. They might have been kayaking if my memory is right.

That one is Norman Ladner. Still never solved. Although ruled a suicide, the evidence looks more like homicide. His parents think he may have stumbled on drug runners and been killed for seeing something he shouldn't have.

That one sounds like the Whackers although it was the wife who was knocked out. Stanley Gryziec was also attacked in his home with his wife, but they were found after the attack and IIRC they couldn't remember much about the attackers.

You stumped me on that one.

That last one sounds awful familar but I cannot remember the names. Wasn't it where the mother was raped? I do remember they was vacationing where water was close by.

However the case I am talking about could be totally different then what the op is talking about.

I think this is a great idea for a thread. Maybe it should be pinned at the top so it is always easy to find.

Yeah, I just found some information about it. It was called the "River Wild" case. So, that mystery is solved.

I have another one. This involves three black guys in a vehicle, and all of sudden, they're attacked by a blonde man, and woman. Anyone know this one?

She was a private investigator.

I did some googling awhile back to see if any progress had been made in the case. I was actually able to find her last name and some info on the detective agency she works for, as well as some not so flattering comments abot her boss (he was interviewed in the segment). No mention of this case though.

How about this one I can't remember...

A girl was talking on a pay phone to her boyfriend when she was abducted by some guy driving a truck with a fish decal on the back windshield.

Didn't it turn out the Whackers were really behind that one?

Angela Hammond was her name of the girl abducted from the phone booth and the thing that stayed in my mind was her boyfriend screaming her name as he supposedly chased down that truck. Still, one odd note is that there were no witnesses to this two-car chase that supposedly took place in their rural town.

Yeah, we know. It wasn't a serious question. It's kind of a running joke that pops up now and again.
