Question Who prepares your Taxes?

H&R Block will once again rob us of $230 to do our taxes this year. We have very simple returns to prepare too, and we don't even work. Still, they've got us over a barrel because they know the Ins and Outs. Hate 'em, lol.

i used the H&R Taxcut "free" online version (they do charge you $29.95 for the electonic filing fees) - took me less than an hour and we already got our refund back last week.

ME - and I'm having a nightmare figuring them out this year.

Supposedly we went to a "quick and easy" tax form a few years ago.....I dunno what happened to it - you need to be J.P. Morgan to figure it out now!

And after you get done all the "cyphering" you still come up with lots of zeros - and they're not behind a whole number either! ugh!

My sister does mine every year. To thank her, I treat her to a steak dinner every year. Since she's pregnant this time, she may be eating TWO steak dinners!! It's OK, I don't mind.

My mom's friend did but he went off to Saudi Arabia/Iraq as a government consultation or something like that. So my mom had to find one, she found a guy who was putting flyers on doors. He's been doing it since even though my mom's friend is back in town, hopefully forever, she's gonna stick with the guy she is using.

My husband and I sit down and we try to do them together, but I always end up doing them by myself. We may argue about it, but it's free

I do my own taxes, always have. I also do my sister's taxes, my mom's, and my best friend's as well. I actually kind of like it. Maybe I should have been an accountant.

Been doing mine online for the past three years with TaxACT, this year I added the state portion and just paid $13.95 total.

Now if only the IRS would stop playing games with the date of my refund!
GRRRRRRRR!!!!!

I used to get a kick out of it (which is REALLY weird for me!) but the past couple of years it's been getting more and more complicated and I end up usually thinking I owe, but I'll say that, it's been a nice surprise when it turned out I had a bit of a refund at least.

I phone it in on a landline and it's even faster and easier than doing it online. With my wacky night owl hours, I just do it in the middle of the night and you get right thru.

I did get mine finished tonight but will proof it tomorrow when I'm fresh. I think I might have actually got it right this year for a change! yay me!

If I ever attempted to do my taxes, it would look like a scene out of I Love Lucy. I'm allergic to numbers.
