I didn't see this one coming. The Suns haven't been the same explosive team since they acquired Shaq. Though I do believe the Suns could have waited at least until the end of the season, because I don't think they gave TP a chance. Porter was my man when he played for the Blazers back in the day. I guess he's a better player than a coach.

As best to my knowledge, Alvin Gentry has been a head coach because he took over from the previous fired coach for quite a few teams. I don't know if he's the answer, but we will see.

In this case it's the players, no more raja bell, no more marion, no more joe johnson, and soon no more stoudmire and they BLAME THE COACH??

They need more than Shaq and Nash

I know, in this stage, I would have kept Shawn Marion over Shaq. At least he could run, and Shaq can't. Poor Terry Porter, he just can't catch a break wherever he goes. Maybe he can join Adelman in Houston.

You're right, it's the players in this case. Who's the Suns GM, Dan Majerle?

They are not the class of the West anymore, but should be better than 9th place. I think this is more of a realization that the style of play they wanted Porter to run does not work with the players they have.
