How little space they take up. I got a ton of sets and they really do take up a lot of space. I got 5 seasons of the Odd Couple and they take up the same amount of space as 2 seasons of M*A*S*H. Happy Days and Gomer are the same way. I don't have a ton of space and to have 5 discs in a single case is great for me. I wish other companies started doing sets more like that.

The only sets that I have like that are "Hardcastle and McCormick" #3 and "Matlock" #1. "Hardcastle" #3 has all 5 of its discs in a single Amaray case, and "Matlock" #1 has all 7 of its discs like that as well. The difference is that the "Hardcastle" discs are arranged such that the first disc is on the left inside when you open the package, and the remaining four are stacked disc-on-disc. "Matlock" is much the same way, with the first disc in a holder on the left inside; however, the remaining 6 discs are placed on 3 flipholders, with each one having one disc on top front, and the other on bottom back.

I must agree. 7th Heaven had 11 seasons, and if they were all released like the first two seasons were, I'd be up to my third shelf for that show by now, lol. I just wish if sales are good enough for the rest of the series, CBS Paramount will find the time to re-release seasons one and two in the same kind of box as seasons 3-8 (thus far).

I love the slim disc Brady sets! These should be the industry standard!
Not overly keen on the Love Boat flip disc case, but they'll do. |

I was thinking of buying Married With Children, but they are up to season 10 now and I just know as soon as I buy a season they will release a complete series version like they did for Sanford and Son and Good Times that takes up less space. |

I don't really care as I discard the packaging anyway. Why have 500 DVD sets in packaging and 15,000 DVDRs in jewel cases? So I just put them all in the same jewel cases.

I'm really not a fan of the CBS Paramount amaray cases. They just seem way too ordinary to me, especially with the silver discs. I've always been a fan of slimcases and digipacks, not minding how much room they take up. It just feels right having a TV show set come in slimcases or a digipack.

Where's the Extras??? Happy Days-Nothing; Laverne & Shirley-Nothing; Mork & Mindy-Nothing; Odd Couple-Nothing; Gomer Pyle-Nothing; Brady Bunch-1st Season - Commentaries on 3 eps plus a short documentary; Complete Set has extras; the rest nothing. I tend to buy shows with EXTRAS, thats half the enjoyment.

I quite like these cases as well. For one, they're less prone to breaking in the mail if you buy them online, too many box sets arrive with slight dents which annoy me and some slimcases have arrived with the disc holder broken.
CBS do at least not seem to employ over-lapping discs which plague many digipaks, another benefit. |

Now that I've complained about the lack of "extras" , I will make a positive point, yes these more compact cases that keep the discs safe and secure are great.
