Default Never Made Clear

In the sixth season, there was an episode in which Jack fell head over heals for a Southern Belle named Arebella. After she gave him the cold shoulder, he had the idea of sarenading her outside of her apartment. He throw a pebble in the window of the apartment that he thought was her's and mouthed the words to "You Are So Beautiful". He was holding a geutar that he pretended to be accompanying himself on. In the bushes, Larry was singing the words while playing his geutar. Unfortunately, he had the wrong apartment! The resident of that apartment was a fat lady named Burnese. She thought that the song and the invitation was for her and came to Jack's apartment for a date. To complecate matters more, Arebella felt guilty about how she had acted at the bar and showed up on the same night! Jack was really in a pickle! He tried his hardest not to hurt either girl's feelings. In the end, he realized that Burnese was the far more decent babe and so he told Arebella to go fly a kite! The thing that I was never able to understand about the situation was the fact that the two ladies acted as if there were seeing each other for the first time. Wouldn't they recognize each other if they lived in the same apartment building? It did not look like a big enough building for the two of them never to have crossed paths! Could Jack have gone to the wrong apartment complex altogether?

I know, we could assume that Arabella was new to the complex being that she was from the south and never met Bernice yet, but writers will always leave you wondering.

I don't think he liked her that way. He was just being a gentleman.

But since he kicked her out it should have been his new girlfriend

Uh not necessarily. Just because a guy has decency like he did, doesn't mean it was necessarily for love. He's just a nice guy.

I think that what was implied was that Jack felt that going on a date with a Plain-Jane like Burnesse as opposed to being nice to someone as rude and insensitive as Arabella was the lessor of two evils. However, after that episode, we never saw or heard mention of Burnesse again. It dose make me wonder whatever happened to her!

If the sexy thing that the last poster is talking about is Arabella, yes Jack did get rid of her. However, in addition to being sexy, she was also arrogant, overconfident and selfish. These were all characteristics that Jack found repulsive and this is why he told her to go fly a kite. Seeing Jack's decency made Burnesse even more attracted to him. In turn, seeing Burnesse appreciate his decency caused Jack to become attracted to her. This is why their date was a success!

A normal man would not have cared about her arrogance as sexy as she was

I think that what the writers were implying is that Jacks decency was strong enough to outweigh his sexual needs. Good for him!
