I think I'd like children at some point but definitely not in the near future. Also, I seem to only think about the negative sides of raising kids so I've gone for "undecided" at the moment.

Nope! I'm an aunt - that's good enough for me.

I wasn't ever comfortable around kids...not even at the age of 10! I was taking care of babies at that time at my mom's job and when I went home, I just said "I hate kids".
Fast-forward 10 years later, and social services told us that we needed to take care of four kids that were good friends of ours and that was a 10-week nightmare. There was one kid that my family took care of and they loved him, but I wanted to do what Bender did with Nibbler...flush him down the toilet. Now, there's this hillbilly neighbor who has 5 crazy kids and the oldest is deaf, but all they do is anything they want. And I might get myself a vasectomy...if I ever get the money. |

No thanks. Havent really been around children too much so I dont have a lot of experience with them. Besides children are expensive and I have so little money now.

IDK...I see how so many children turn out these days and it's just frightening.

I like to remember "The Cosby Show" line where Bill Cosby tells his daughter after she had her twins, "Good parents are made by good children..." So, in the future, if I find myself an incredible husband... I would love to have a child or two... or three!

I'm thinking of the increasing number of kids with ADD/ADHD, various learning disorders, behavioral disorders, etc. Plus, even if I raised my child with manners, they're going to get stuck being around brats at school.

Did - then didn't - then did - then didn't - then did again - then didn't
and now can't. I have lost a couple of pregnancies as well. Sometimes I have small regrets, but not for the most part. I see my friends with kids and how it's aged them compared to me and other friends who don't have children. I have my animals, and although they're not of my flesh, or carry on a family name, they've given me the most unconditional love imagineable. And what's really great - when they hit their teens, they don't take your car without you knowing, don't talk back and tell me they hate me, don't trash the house when I go out and I don't have to worry about any of them getting pregnant or doing dope (other than the occasional whiff of cat nip).

Absolutley!!! I love babies, little children. The only question is, are you ready to run that crap? Nobody ever really is. Yet, when my time comes, I'll be ready for it. Whatever comes.

I love children, the reason why I want to become a preschool teacher; but at my age, I do not think it would be a wise idea; by the child is born, I will be in my 40s. I have been pregnant in the past (once when I was 26, the other time when I was 28) and I lost both of these babies. I guess it was never meant for me to become a mother, and I am fine with that.

No, I don't want to have kids. I am an aunt and I saw how hard it was for my sister to care for them, my sister was married at the time and still is. I see how hard it is for my other sister and brother in law to raise their kids.
