I saw on the news tonight that Chicago PD has a new lead (of sorts) in the '82 Tylenol murders. Apparently the guy (his name escapes me) served time for extortion, as he told the makers of Tylenol he could "stop the killing" if they forked over some money. He did his 13 years, got out, and settled back into the fold. Chicago police were at his Boston apartment today, but wouldn't say exactly why or what precisely they were investigating. I hope something can come out of it.
EDIT: Found a link at my hometown news site. http://www.wbir.com/news/national/st...76921&catid=16 |

Oh wow! Wouldn't that be something to have solved after all these years. That guy not only murdered innocent people but he forever changed our way of life. As far as I'm concerned, he was a domestic terrorist.

Very interesting. It would be great if this were solved. Incidentally I am currently reading "Bitter Almonds" the story of Stella Nickell who poisoned Excedrin capsules with cyanide killing her husband and another woman. I wonder if the Tylenol killings gave her the idea.
