Default The World's Strangest and Coolest Themed Restaurants - Part 2

Managed to find some more that really stuck out. Enjoy.

Prison Themed Restaurant - Tokyo, Japan

Here in Japan's Alcatraz the theme is living out the prison experience. When you go in you will find the head waiters/waitresses are dressed in real Japan prison guard uniforms and the busboy staff wear the stereotyped clothes of an inmate; black and white striped.

Each of the patrons are handcuffed and escorted to the table which is your cell. Each cell has a lock and key and you sit on wooden benches.

The food here is regular Japanese style cuisine but patrons have the option of "going prisoner"; meaning you are served what real prisoners are served in Japan's prisons. That meal consists of chicken with rice, breadsticks, and water served in plastic cups.

Alcoholic drinks here have the "lethal injection" where your drinks are mixed and stirred with syringes.

Games take place also at this restaurant, one of which is called "Prison Escape". Patrons receive a key to their cell or instructions from "corrupt prison guards" that allow you to leave your cell, pass notes to the other "prisoners", and bribe the guards for better treatment; getting your next course or drink served to you.
When an "inmate" leaves the cell an alarm goes off and the prison guards chase the patron down the halls of the jail trying to capture them and send them back to their cell.

Alice in Wonderland - Tokyo, Japan

The theme of this Tokyo restaurant is being in Wonderland. Hanging on the walls are clocks, red hearts, blue velvet, and playing cards. The seats are purposely mismatched and some have tails on the back.

The main dining hall is The Mad Hatter's Tea Party and other rooms are The Fantasy Forest and Glass World. The wait staff are all female and are all dressed as "Alice"; wearing baby blue and white dresses with red shoes. On the table are little bells which the guests are used to summon the staff.

The food is of course Japanese with little twists; the salad contains heart shaped croutons, the sushi is rolled into caterpillar shapes, and some food comes in mystery boxes with "Eat Me" written on it.

Ninja Themed Restaurant - Tokyo, Japan

Here in the many Ninja themed restaurants, guests are transferred into the mysterious world of being among ninjas.

The decor is fancy which consisting of rooms made with the stars and the moon on the ceiling. You will be among waterfalls, myst, caves, torch lit rooms, wooden floors... etc.

The wait staff are dressed in ninja uniforms and are trained in the sleight of hand method and will perform various tricks and deception among the guests, all in good fun.

The ninja themed restaurants have made their way to the US and can be found in New York, Alaska, Alabama, New Orleans, California. On occasion trained martial artists will give patrons basic lessons on martial arts and will teach mainly children and young adults.

Hospital Themed Restaurant - Latvia

Owned and operated by real doctors is Latvia's HOSPITALS. The restaurant walls are sterile white and each room is the Operating Room, Waiting Room, Baby Nursery, Mental Ward, etc.

The waiters wear white lab coats with a reflector on their head and the waitresses wear white nurse uniforms with red wigs.

Your food is served in metal pans and your utensils are scalpels, scissors, and plastic spoons.

Guests who want to have the "real experience" let the wait staff know which consists of getting a haircut by one of the nurses at the barber, being tied in a straightjacket and being wheeled in a wheelchair to your table, being spoon fed your meal by the nurses and having your cocktail squirted down your throat in a syringe.

The profits of this restaurant support the local hospitals.

Soviet Union Themed Restaurant - South Nevsky, Russia

Here in South Nevsky, Russia's "Lenin's Mating Call" you will find a place where you can dine among the Soviets.

The place contains two rooms; one for being for the Soviets and one for being anti-Soviets. The Soviet room consists of bright red walls with a big arm and hammer in the center of the room. You will find statues of Lenin and Stalin around the place and the walls contain news clippings of various important incidents in the Soviet Untion's history.

The anti-Soviet room contains bright colors complete with parody posters that were against the Soviet Union and promoted liberty.

The food is in Russian cuisine and the wait staff are dressed in the Soviet military uniforms.

Stalin's Bunker - Moscow, Russia

Owned by the Central Armed Forces museum, people can have a private party at a bunker where Stalin himself once used.

The room is filled with Stalin memorabilia, Stalin posters, and a replica desk and world of the map where Stalin sat.

Yes it does.

If I had the chance I'd check out the prison one.
I've also been meaning to go to the Ninja Restaurant that is in NYC one day.
