I don't know what happened, but while we're on the topic....does anyone know if Henry Winkler has ever commented on the JTS phrase? His character was the catalyst, after all.

I think he talked about it in the Happy Days 30-year reunion special.

he made light of it and even pointed out that he's the only actor to have literally jumped the shark on two different shows - referring to his appearance on Arrested Development when his character Barry Zuckerkorn jumped over a shark.

I read a Henry Winkler interview a few years back in which he got defensive about the term Jump The Shark and Happy Days.

Notice he makes light of jumping a shark twice in his career, but remains defensive on the term used against his sitcom.

Something like that. The site hasn't been the same since they merged with TV Guide - it's been one big commercial for the magazine.

Sort of what happened with TV Tome? I don't even go to TV.Com much. None of these mergers are ever any good. I hope SO doesn't ever end up like that.
