I got WKRP Season 1 for Christmas, and I just finished watching it tonight. I have to say, the show is very funny! So far, my favorites are "Turkeys Away" (a given, hehe!), "A Date With Jennifer," (Les and the hairpeice....TOO funny!!) and "A Fish Story." I also really love "A Commercial Break." Unfortunately, I don't get WGN, so I don't have access to any season 2 and later episodes.
There was a YouTube channel that was posting some, but I discovered it's gone now. And I had only watched a couple of the ones that were posted, too! Does anybody know if there are any online anywhere now? I only ask b/c I know the chances of S2 being released on DVD aren't that great, unfortunately. - Kristen |

Glad you enjoyed it, Kristen!! I totally enjoy this show and its many references to my home state of Ohio. I was much more familiar with Tim Reid as Ray on Sister, Sister but he was great as Venus Flytrap. Plus, I got to see Gary Sandy with Ann-Margret in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas when that play came to Cleveland a few years back. I too hope the rest of the seasons are released...in the meantime, you may want to look on http://ioffer.com to see if they have them.

LOL, Monika! That song was the best part of the ep. What ep. was it where Johnny convinced Herb that Jennifer had had a sex change? Was that "Turkeys Away"? I loved that!
Thanks for the heads up on ioffer, but I dunno if I want to buy bootlegs. Maybe someone else will start posting eps. on YouTube again. All I know is next time I email Fox, I'm def. mentioning WKRP and TMTMS! Fox, are you listening?! hehe |

Kristen, the episode where Herb is conned into believing Jennifer had once been a man was #3, "Les on a Ledge". I loved both Andy's and Mr. Carlson's reactions to the rumor: "WHAT!??"
![]() Gotta love the appearance of Del the Stereo Guy aka Bart Furley (Three's Company) aka Eric Shrimp (TMTMS). All three roles were played by Hamilton Camp. Poor Del.

I believe he was on MASH once, too, Monika. I def. always recognize him as Eric "Shrimp," though.
I wasn't sure if it was "Turkeys Away" or "Les on a Ledge" w/ that subplot. I love how Herb was never really sure if it was true or not. There is NO way Jennifer could ever be a man! LOL |

Hamilton Camp appeared in two episodes of M*A*S*H. He played
Major Frankenheimer in "The Moon is not Blue" and Corporal 'Boots' Miller in "Major Topper" |

The first season is good, and the show gets better through the next seasons. There does seem to be a delay with the DVD releases.

Hi Kristen. Glad you like the series.
I used to watch WKRP when it was in syndicated reruns and that's where I got hooked. What was even better about it then was the fact that all the original music was intact. Nveretheless, I too hope the remaining seasons get released.
