I agree about the ones from ER. Those would be my choices.

I didn't know that Ross Geller from Friends was a doctor.

My choices are:
Dr. Michaela Quinn (Jane Seymour)-Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman
http://www.sitcomsonline.com/photopo...8510mike10.jpg
Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall)-Days of our Lives
http://www.sitcomsonline.com/photopo...11008/cat/1037
Now don't get me wrong. I am a female and totally straight. But, I find these two characters absolutely beautiful. They are beautiful to look at on the outside, smart on the inside and strong human beings. They prove that women can be beautiful, smart and successful. It's not always a male dominated career to be a doctor. Women have proven they can do it too. These two characters have proved it in many ways. They are two characters to be admired and to even emulate. It makes me feel good that we had these two characters to show us that women are just as smart and successful as men.

Det. Sgt. Chano Amenguale - Barney Miller
Dr. Antonio "Tony" Menzies - AES Hudson Street (1978)

Both roles were played by none other than Gregory Sierra. ()

Not to mention that he also played cops in other shows - Streets of San Francisco, Miami Vice, Murder She Wrote, etc. He also portrayed doctors on shows like Growing Pains, Kirk, and the Tony Orlando TV flick Three Thousand Miles For Stephanie.

Seconded regarding Elliot from Scrubs as far as doctors.

And the hottest detectives are Jennifer Hart (Stefanie Powers, Hart to Hart), Pamela North (Barbara Britton, Mr. & Mrs. North), Laura Holt (Stephanie Zimbalist, Remington Steele), any and all of Charlie's Angels!
