Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Patrica Richardson on "Home Improvement" said she would only do the season after the last one if they paid her a substantial amount of money.

Redd Foxx was out of Sanford and Son then returned after he got his raise.
Carroll O'Connor also left All In The Family for more money, had negotiations failed they were ready to kill off his character.

Cool

John Schneider and Tom Wopat missed almost a full season of "The Dukes of Hazzard" over a financial dispute.(although it had more to do with merchandising than wages). James Best also missed several episodes of "Dukes" over a pay dispute.

I thought Cindy left because she was pregnant and they wouldn't let her work shorter hours.

Yeah, I don't think her leaving had to do with money.

"Sanford & Son" parodied it with the 1974 episode 'Steinberg and Son.'

Fred "Rerun" Berry asked for more money on two occasions on "What Happening!!" and on its sequel later on "What's Happening Now!!"

The 1st occasion was part of the reason why WH!! was cancelled.

The 2nd occasion is what got Rerun fired after the 1st season.

During his time on WH!! and WHN!!, both times he threatened to quit the show if he didn't get his salary increases.

Chuck Woolery's own "GREED" is what led to him quitting a famous game show that a certain guy would take over and host for the next 20+ years when he got into a salary dispute w/ Merv Griffin. Chuck wnated something like $500,000 a year and Merv didn't budge, only offering him $375,000 a year.

I laughed for days when his movies bombed at the Box Office. His leaving Blue was the best thing ever that ever happened imo.

I remember that show, it was pretty good. I liked it anyway, LOL. Valerie Harper left Valerie in a salary dispute and the network answered by killing off her character and renaming the show to The Hogan Family. Sandy Duncan was brought in to help raise the kids.
