Post My Father Has To Have Eye Surgery

Just found out that my father has to have eye surgery because he has cataracts; and so they have to perform surgery on both eyes. They will be removing the old lenses, and put in new ones so, he will have perfect vision after that (20/20); his eyesight will be a lot better than mine.

I'm thinking about having laser eye surgery; but can't anytime soon because I am unemployed so, have to wait until I get a new job; with insurance.
I just hope that he will ok, and the whole procedure will go well for him.

I will keep you all posted as it goes on; pray for him that all goes well; and that there will no complications; he will be 80 next month. Overall, his health is pretty good; thank god but, you never know.

Cool

I can relate. My Dad is 85 and is scheduled for surgery to have a cataract removed as well. I'm not sure of the date. I know he has a few tests to be done first so it will probably a few weeks yet. Anyways your Dad is in my prayers.

My brother repairs the lasers used for this surgery for a living, dont worry, its a very safe procedure. My Grampa had this surgery at 90!!! and he was able to spend his last 12 years without glasses!

Post Father Has Appointment This Wednesday

My father has an appointment this wednesday but, it's not for surgery just yet. He has to go see the doctor, and after that they will schedule the appointment for surgery for one eye first; then wait for about a month or so to see how that one heals and everything. If that one is ok then they will schedule appointment for the other. I will keep you all posted.

Default surgeys

Ihope everything goes well. i had open heart surgey when i was a baby. the doctors didn't think i was going to make it but i did. i also had back surgey when i was 12 years old. i have two metal rods in my back. i can't play any sports or left anything under 10 pound. i also had lots of ear surgeys. they put in metal tubes that was mistake.they took my ear tubes out then put it back in it made whole in my ear. so they had to fix my ear so i wouldn't have a whole in my ear.

your father is in my prayers.

Two summers ago I went to the eye doctor because of BLURRY VISION for like 90 seconds once or twice a week and the doctor told me they would have to move a muscle in my eye or I can just LIVE WITH IT and guess what folks???

I never got the surgery-lol Those blurry vision eps don't happen as frequent as they used to. In 2007 it was like 3 times a month, in February of 2009=ZERO

So it looks like overtime it just stop stopped happening
