Default cassette players

do they still make these? Because I have lots of cassettes I like to listen to. Most are of old radio shows-some I sent away for from a mail-order company I used to belong to; and some I recorded off the radio in the 80s when a local station used to play them-something that a lot of stations used to do but sadly don't anymore.

I work for an office supply retailer and we don't even sell regular tape recorder/players anymore. We still have a few microcassette recorders and transcribers, but that's it. I'm sure you can find some tape players on eBay and the like.

i'm sure there are plenty of places online that still handle them. I'm sure it'll get to that point for VCRs as well. I have a big audio collection and can't bear to get rid of them.

Now and then, you'll still find them in boom boxes, and bookshelf stereos, so yes.

They still make blank audio and video cassettes. The only place I see them is at places like Walgreens. Surprisingly I found out our mall sells audio blank cassettes and I thought that would be the last play you would find them.

I still buy them because I have a tape player in my car, and over the years I have these mix tapes that I made. I still make them to have something to listen to in my car besides the radio.

There are some dollar stores that sell boom boxes with cassette players. Maybe check places like that.

I've seen them around too. You just have to keep looking. Maybe you can even buy one secondhand.

The JC Penny catalogue sells tape decks with USB cords that you can connect to your computer and can convert to MP3. They also sell turntable versions. Look around on their website. I think up to this point a converter would be more useful than buying a new cassette deck, seeing as you can rip everything, tag the tracks and burn them to a CD-R or put them on an MP3 player.
