I just found an old episode of All-American Girl called "Pulp Sitcom" - a parody of a hot movie at the time, Pulp Fiction. The special guest was PF director Quentin Tarantino (who was also the then-boyfriend of AAG star Margaret Cho). It got me thinking - which other TV shows did episodes as homages/parodies of movies?
Bewitched - Season 5 had an homage of Gone With the Wind. The Bob Newhart Show - Season 4 made a parody of The Sting. Anyone else? |

Get Smart did several parodies of old movies, the weirdest one was probably the Tequila Mockingbird, which was a parody of both the Maltese Falcon and The good the bad and the ugly........other movies the show parodied included Casablanca, Stalag 14 And Charlie Chan movies, among others

The Carol Burnett Show did their now-famous, hilarious parody of Gone With the Wind.
Didn't That '70s Show do some parodies? I'm pretty certain they did a take on Star Wars, with Donna as Princess Leia. |

The Monkees did several parodies but the one I remember is where they are trying to "class up" their drunken cleaning lady to chaperone a party. It was a total take-off of "My Fair Lady."

That '70s Show did a parody of Casablanca on the episode where it was Eric's birthday and also the very same ep. when Eric feared of losing Donna when she decides to move away.
