Default WOW - Til Death renewed for 22-episode 4th season?

http://tv.popcrunch.com/til-death-no...fourth-season/

Is this a joke??-LOL. I thought this show was cancelled months ago. Anyways, seems like Sony is dying to get this show into syndication, so them and FOX agreed to cheaply-produce 22 more episodes, to air next season. This also goes with the 15 unaired episodes from this season.

I don't know what FOX was thinking - it barely averaged 4 million this season. FOX is one of the stupidest networks around. But, they may have taken Til Death off the schedule for a reason: maybe for next season, they'll air Til Death in an hour block every week. That would give them 37 episodes to air next season - it could go Sundays at 7pm or a bad slot like that starting in January, and Sony would get its syndication terms.

Still, I thought this show was cancelled months ago. And, how in the hell was it the first show to be renewed this season?

I don't think it was officially canceled. We shouldn't be surprised at anything Fox does regarding sitcoms. They are a poor excuse of a network.

Judging by the title of the show, I guess Fox is going to make us watch it until Death.

That's the best thing I've heard all day-LOL. I guess you're right though - I don't think anyone took the title literally until know, but I guess we should have.

Still, is this show dirt cheap to produce or what? Maybe FOX will give it another go after AI this year. FOX is nothing else but a poor excuse of a network.I'd laugh if Sony makes very little money on this show in syndication - if no one wants to watch it in first-run, why would they in syndication?

Not me. I watched maybe the first three episodes when it premiered and realized it was crap and didn't bother after that. Four seasons? It shouldn't have lasted four episodes.

Fox definitely does not know a good sitcom when it has one. They'll keep renewing this steaming pile of crap and yet they'll yank a good show like Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton's Back To You after only one season. Go figure.

The sad thing is that Back To You was starting to hit its stride towards the end of its one-season run.

FOX and that damn Kevin Reilly don't know what they're doing about 90% of the time, in pretty much everything they do. Running a network, scheduling a network, and picking the good shows from the bad shows are things they don't necessarily do best, or ever will do best.

Back to You was definitely coming into its own by the end of last season, and sadly, that's something Til Death never has and never will accomplish. Like I said, it averaged just above 4 million viewers in the 7 episodes its aired this season - it has 15 left unaired, and now 22 more episode for next season.

I guess I'm the only one happy about this, lol. I think it's a very funny show. Not some smart, witty show, but funny in it's own right. Of course, I've only seen the first season. I'll watch season two this week when I get the DVD.

FOX has made a lot of mistakes regarding shows I like. They cancelled "Andy Richter Controls the Universe" after only 19 episodes. They cancelled "The Tick" after only 9 episodes. Plus, a classic like "Get a Life" only has 35 episodes? They treated "Sliders" like crap the whole time it was there. They mistreated "Firefly" as well as "Futurama." I finally saw "Back to You" on DVD and it was (to me) just an okay show. Do I wish it was still on? Yes. I would continue buying the DVDs and besides, no show should be cancelled after only one season (and a shortened season, too).

Funny, I had come to peace with the cancellation of "Til Death" and now I get another season before it's cancellation.

I guess if you're a fan, you're in luck - you have a full 35 episodes left before it can even be cancelled. Knowing FOX, they'll probably add on another 22 episodes for a fifth season.

I agree with you - FOX prematurely cancels MANY good shows. They've always done, and they'll continue to do it until producers finally realize that going to FOX with a show is pointless.

I loved seasons one and two, but I wasn't that bothered by the cancellation with season 3. Besides a select couple, what we've seen sucked. And the good episodes were the unaired ones from season 2.

Another bad choice by FOX. A great deal of luck for the station that decides to but the syndication rights...(Congrats to Public Access!)

The one good decision Fox made was to cancel Family Guy. But they screwed that up by bringing it back after a three year hiatus.

Yes, I know the show is wildly successful, but I think it's crap.

WHAT, THIS SHOW IS RENEWED! I CAN'T FREKIN BELEVE IT!!! CANCELLING BACK TO YOU THAT ADVERAGED 8 MILLION LAST SEASON FOR THIS, AND WHEN THIS ADVERADGED OVER 3 MILLION VIEWERS THEY RE-NEWED IT. WTF IS WRONG WITH FOX'S PRESIDENT KEVIN REILEY!

You're not alone, Adamantium, I happen to like this show too.

I'll agree that seasons 1 and 2 were much better than the season 3 episodes that we've seen, but I still think it's a pretty funny show.

I think FOX continues to bring it back, not only for syndication rights, but because it is so cheap to produce and so they have a show that they can pull out of their pocket if one of the shows they're expecting to do well with flops (take for instance, Dollhouse, which, I don't know if it's any good or not, but time will tell). That way, if they pull if off of the schedule, they can air new episodes of 'Til Death to fill the void while they look for a permanent replacement.
