At our new house we don't have a mailbox. Our front door has a mail slot where mail comes in. I don't remember ever living anywhere that had a mail slot instead of a mailbox.

Does anyone have a mail slot instead of a mailbox? If so, how do you put mail out for the postal worker to pick up? I have mail and will have mail in the future to mail, but I wonder how I can mail something from here if there's no mailbox to mail it from.

In our old house we had a mail slot. When we wanted to mail something we had to clip it to the mail slop flap with a stationary clip.

You give mail to the postman in the USA? We have to put it in a mailbox....we have a brass mailbox, which I painted to match the porch railings , btw

We just take ours to the bank. There's a slot right outside of it to mail things.
