...The Commercials they are showing on Spike TV during this UM marathon?
I mean, I understand that Spike TV is a guy network kind of thing, but it's like ever single commercial break is for Playbook Resident Evil where they're going to have the Sexpert on to "spice up your sex life". But the worse part is that they actually hold up and show the working sex toys on screen during the ad. Good grief! Sex toys on tv in the middle of the afternoon?!? The first time I saw it was when I walked into the room a couple days ago just as my 21 year old son switched the channel. They were holding up the sex toy. I said, "What the heck are you watching?" He said, "That was on your channel, mom." I disagreed and made him turn back. Sure enough, it was on my channel, the show I had been watching when I left the room, UM. My DS was just changing the channel when I walked into the room because he was embarrassed that that thing was on the tv with me in the room there with him. |

Hey, who can't wait to be turned on by the "smokin hot Mila Jovivich" and learn how to "spice up your love life" Heck, I've already ordered a lifetime supply of Lipozene myself.
![]() Oh goodness, they're sucking me in!!!! I've got it tivo'd so I can fast forward through the commercials, I find the them offensive myself, but sadly got them memorized! |

I don't watch it so I have not seen the commercials.I actually had to look her up on the IMDB. I didn't even know who she was. Is she in one of their shows or something? I do remember seeing Enzyte (sp?) commercials on Spike last fall. You know, those ones with "Bob" and the annoying whistling...are they still showing that crap too? |

I've yet to tune into Spike tv for UM, but I have to say that that doesn't surprise me.
You gotta love the contrast in advertising between supposed "man networks" and networks "for women" like Lifetime. Lifetime commercials amount to "Lose weight!" or "buy our new line of tampons!". Seriously, I want fair treatment. Where is a commercial featuring a mostly nude Christian Bale telling me to buy some beer?

Well I am of the mind set that if someone were to land on our planet and watch daytime TV for a few hours they would assume that everyone is overweight, unemployed and has erectile function.
Love the marathons but yes I am sick of the "Sexpert" as well. |

Simple solution: Just buy a DVD recorder (with a hard drive) and tape all the UMs. You can watch the episodes the same day, the next day, or whenever you want. It allows you to simply skip past the commercials and any material that doesn't interest you. Today's DVD recorders can save up to 500 hours of programming, which is several months worth of shows. PVRs do the same thing, but some come with a monthly membership charge.
I haven't watched a commercial in years, and it's such a relief not to be bombarded with trash I don't care about every five minutes. |

I just remembered something, the guy who owned Enzyte was convicted of some kind of fraud regarding that product and sentenced to jail. Even his mother was indicted on charges involving Enzyte. I found that out about 4 months ago.
I expected that with this news, "Smiling Bob" and his Enzyte commercials would gone for good... But nope, he's still on tv. Usually, I see ads for Enzyte on the outdoor type channels. DS is really into fishing and watches those shows on the weekends. Smiling Bob is ALWAYS sponsoring the fishing shows. |

Was I the only one watching the late-night repeats?
They kept showing this hokey commercial for a penis pump called the Pos-T-Vac. Absolute comedy gold. Looked like a Tim & Eric sketch. It could be worse. They could be showing Girls Gone Wild ads. -_- |
