Default Food Combinations

What are some of the stranger food combinations that you have tried?

I recently tried a toasted peanut butter and sweetcorn sandwich. It was okay, although probably not something that I'll try again.

Lol

WOW!

Well when I was pregers you would think that I had all kinds of crazy cravings but no.

I remember I was at a friends house one day and she had made tuna salad sandwiches for us. It had peas and corn in it with onions and other stuff. It looked really gross but I ate a few bites cause I didn't want to offend her and it wasn't too bad but I would not recommend making tuna salad with peas and corn.

That actually sounds quite nice. I don't like tuna unless it's cooked tuna steak - I don't like the stuff from the can, but if I was someone who liked tuna, those sandwiches would sound quite tasty.

One time I took a Hershey bar and put it on some bread with peanut butter. Actually tasted pretty good.

When I was a kid, I used to put a banana in a hot dog bun with some peanut butter and eat it like a hot dog. Mmm! I haven't done that in many years.

I can't think of any others right now.

When I was 8, my bestfriend and I made a Peanut Butter and Jelly dill pickle with cheese sandwich. We got the Recipe from Different Strokes LOL, it was pretty good except for the cheese.

Also growing up I use to take fried pizza rolls cover them with chili and cheese and bake them in the oven.

I dip pretzels into coffee yogurt. I dip carrots in mayo. Yes, I know I'm weird.

I don't think that's weird, it's what a lot of people do in Holland. I used to do that as well but I'm not as fond of mayonnaise as I used to be. I'll still have it on sandwiches but I rarely put it on french fries or salads any more.

when I was growing up in the 70s, I read a recipe once on the back of an english muffin pack (plain ones-since that's all they made back then) for "mini-pizzas" made by taking an english muffin, cutting it in half, spreading tomato sauce on each half, then topping them with oregano and mozzerella cheese and toasting it in the broiler. So I decided to try it, but since we didn't have tomato sauce I used catchup, and american cheese since we also didn't have any mozzerella
I thought it was good, but my brother tried it once, took one bite and threw it in the garbage because he thought it was SO BAD!!

Then a few years later I decided to try it again, but then our broiler was broken so I put them in the oven. They still turned out good, but I burned the cheese on top.
