If you're a graduate, share your memories of university here. If you're still attending, just chat about anything college-related.
I'm in my third year at Anglia Ruskin University. Most courses in the UK are three-year degrees so unless I do an MA this is my final year. I do quite like the idea of doing the MA but I believe students have to fund it entirely themselves. I have enjoyed my time at university, although I didn't start to become more involved until the second year. I found it quite difficult to settle in because, even though I was still living at home, it was still a big change for me, and change is something I don't handle well - I freak out if someone simply rearranges things in my room. Before I started university, I was really depressed about leaving school. I'm very glad now that I did go and I've been enjoying myself, although I'm not so much enjoying the 10,000 word dissertation that I have to write! |

i'm in my second year at a nearby community college, majoring in administrative information services. it's a two-year program but i only started it this year (last year i was unsure where i wanted to go and figured i would drop out) so i won't graduate until the spring of 2010, though i should get certificates in word processing and office assistance along the way.
i consider myself an honorary music major because about a third of my classes have been in the music program, but i'd rather not take the general education credits required for earning the degree. |

I'm a sophomore at a small private college in Syracuse, NY called LeMoyne College. It's a pretty good school, even though it's very small. I'm majoring in Communications with a concentration in Journalism because that's how the degree is offered there. I figure I might as well put my writing skills to use in a field I'll have a chance at getting a job in. I was originally an English major but I didn't really know what I wanted to do. I still don't, really. I'll graduate in May 2011 and probably go to Syracuse University for my Master's. If not there, then some place but I definitely intend on getting that degree.

I started college Fall semester of '04, and I'm still in it due to being unsure of what I wanted to go into and then switching majors. If everything goes well, I should have a Bachelor of Science in Accounting by next December. I then hope to get an internship in the Winter of 2010, and start the Masters of Accounting program in the Spring/Summer of 2010. I hope to sit for the CPA exam sometime during or right after I finish the Masters program.

I suppose this would be my sophomore year because I started in the 2008 Spring semester. I still have no idea what I'm going to major in, but I get the feeling that there are going to be less errors this semester. My last two semesters, Spring and Summer, had horrible scheduling and the classes didn't fit my learning needs. I now research the class history and go to RateMyProfessors before jumping in to a course. This semester is going to be better compared to the last two and I've regained the excitement about learning that I had during Spring 08.

Those of you in college, or who attended college in the past, did any of you stay at home during your time there or have you/did you all move out?
I didn't want to leave home which was the main reason I picked Anglia Ruskin - it's in the city of Cambridge and I live about 15 miles from Cambridge so I just take the bus there. |

I'm on my 3rd year and I'm majoring in Communications with a minor in Advertising. I'm planning to take acting classes as electives, since I took some TV & Film acting classes during the summer and really liked it. I'm also considering law school (I'm taking the LSAT this year) and maybe specialize in Entertainment Law. My true dream is to work in the TV/Film industry, maybe even in front of the camera
. But as of now I'm happy with what I'm doing.

I am due to apply for grad school next month. I am currently studying psychology and I hate college as an undergrad. So many classes that have nothing to do with my major that are repeats of what I learned in high school. I'm ready to focus on what I'm paying for.

![]() Anyways, yeah, I am a sophomore at Syracuse University majoring in Television, Radio, & Film. I hope to be a television screenwriter someday and can honestly say I am getting the best possible education to do so. As I just said, our communications school is the absolute best - it's quite competitive and difficult to get into, but the quality of these classes is definitely worth how expensive the school is (QUITE expensive ).
