Does ANYONE remember this segment??

Was a huge fan of the original and can't come across anyone who remembers this particular UFO segment.

What I remember was...Family sees lights/object in the sky and runs into to the yard to record the event with their camcorder. As the object(s) moved...their house enters the frame of the video footage and the upstairs portion can be seen. A typical "alien" looking thing passes in a silhouette in the upstairs window. Family claims they were ALL outside and the only thing that remained in the house was the dog.

Does ANYONE remember this segment? Spooked the hell out of me when I was younger and would love to see if anyone else recalls / has details on this one. Thanks in advance.

NO WAY this was on UM. You're probably thinking of another show like Encounters, Sightings, Paranormal Borderline etc.

I can see that being a possibility, but its def not this movie the others have responded with. Wasn't a movie in the least...and I could SWEARRRRRRRRRR I saw it on UM. Guess my memory is shoddy.

It could been featured on Sightings. I sort of remember a segment on Sightings about family that claimed they were abducted by aliens and the aliens came in their house. But the abduction happened in the late 70's.

Thanks for the help, but the segment I saw was merely unexplained/ufo or however you want to call it. The family as I remember didn't claim they were abducted, it was just more of "what the hell was that in the house" Again it kind of went down like this...

1. Dad or someone sees objects lights in the sky...
2. Runs inside to grab camcorder and family to tape the object in the sky
3. They are all standing in yard/outside house...As the object moves.. the top of their house comes into the frame of his home footage
4. An eerie silhouette of a stereotypical alien head passes the upstairs window
5. Family claims they were all outside and only the dog remained in the house...and when they went back inside of course there was nothing there to explain what had passed the window while they were all outside watching the lights in the sky. Was impossible that the dog could have walked upright and pass the window casting an "alien" looking silhouette behind the shade.

And obviously you guys would remember better then I would..I only have the box set and my memory to go on, but I could bet my life that I did indeed see it on UM. But now that you guys are sure it wasn't, I'm going even more insane now as I try to figure out where the hell I saw this segment. If it wasnt UM then it was a show running the same timeframe as UM with identical show layout...narrator / interviews with family / cut with his home footage.

It's a good thing you can't actually make that bet.

The collective knowledge on this forum is vast I have found. UM did a handful of UFO segments during it's tenure. I have watched UM from almost the beginning and I used to be a UFO buff and I do not remember there being a segment like that. It doesn't seem others remember it either.

Assuming it exists, it's also inexplicably missing from the UM UFO DVD boxset and the episode guides, not to mention it hasn't been rerun in syndication so, where does that leave us?

There was a segment on Encounters about a family that videotaped an alien abduction (the video turned out to be a hoax) that started with them discovering a landed UFO in their yard. I can only make a leap and guess that is what you may have seen. Time frame would have been the same. 10+ years is a long time to remember something and it's easy to forget and misremember details.

The only UFO/aliens inside the house segment I remember is the magical cure teeny UFO one. I doubt the aliens inside that UFO would be big enough to cast a shadow on an ant, let alone a window.

The Sightings thing is the same thing I posted. There were 2 different versions of the same thing, one very low budget that was "underground" and a $$$ one that UPN aired

I remember that episode! I can never forget it. I too believe it was an UM as it was the bog boy during the late eighties-early nineties when this episode was broadcast. Does anyone know if it was UM or another program? A date maybe? Any information to find this segment?

Sounds like the case in New York in 1983, but I don't remember it having an alien presence in the house, but I haven't seen it in a while either.

This segment, which several individuals I know remember it, aired on UM and was all about the footage of the window! As the person who posted this wrote, they were filming possible ufo lights outside their home and spotted the thing in the window later while watching the video.
