I'm shocked as well lol.

Plus, I thought assistant coach in Seattle Jim Mora Jr. was taking over for Mike Holmgren, now that he's retired, or at least out of football for a year or two? Ramona, what's up with your team & coaching lol ?

But seriously, I don't know why Rod Marinelli is getting all these second chances. I guess teams and franchises are all about second chances lol and look past the 0-16 mark. Who knows.

He is being interviewed for some kind of defensive position.

I checked his bio, and I found out why he's getting interviews.

Marinelli worked as a defensive coach under the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a decade.

He helped develop that vaunted Bucs defense with guys like Warren Sapp, Simeon Rice, and Derrick Brooks.

If the Eagles win a Super Bowl, you'd never watch football again.

A guy getting a interview for a head coaching job after just finishing with the worst regular season record in NFL history would make the league look like a joke.

Dick LeBeau went 12-33 in three seasons as Bengals head coach; when he got hired by the Steelers as D coordinator, I'll bet people thought it wouldn't work.

Yeah but that wasn't a headcoaching job, i'm saying if Marinelli was getting another headcoaching opportunity so fast it would make the NFL look crazy

I thought the Seahawks had to interview at least a minority candidate due to the Rooney rule.

Yeah and while Holmgren retires, don't they have to interview minorities first before taking Jim Mora Jr.?

Or is Jim already the coach?

I'm not sure but I don't think they need to interview anybody if they know who they want. The Niners didn't interview anybody when they gave the head coaching job to Singletary who was a guy already on staff.

Maybe he should work for Cleveland, but then again...we're getting Eric Mangini for sure.
