Did anyone else notice that in Flo's last episode where she announces she is leaving--Vera is sad to see her go but Alice looks and acts happy over the news I assume because she thought it was a big opportunity for Flo...
When watching this on the DVD, I thought wow Linda Lavin sure does not hide how thrilled she is to see Polly Holiday leave the show. She was just too cheery throughout the entire episode. |

Besides, Jolene was Celia Weston's first big break and didn't have the vast experience that Polly and Diane had at that time. So I guess Linda didn't percieve her as a threat. Vic Tayback just stayed out of the fray (he was closest to Phillip McKeon, who was about the same age as Vic's own son. He would often take both boys to ballgames and such), and I guess Beth Howland did, too.

I do believe that LL's true feelings clouded this ep.
