Default The Jeffersons should have stayed on TV Land, TV One Sucks

All my years of watching the Jeffersons in Syndication whether it was local or cable, I have never in my life seen a TV station go to a commercial right after the opening credits of the Jeffersons-lol And why the hell does GOOD TIMES get good treatment and not the Jeffersons?

The episodes are sliced and diced whereas the eps of Good times are not.

The worst edit I seen today is the ep when everyone thought Louise was kidnapped and when George asked to speak to his wife who was actually Florence, they cut to a commercial before you even got to see that it was florence on the floor.

And not only that it a ep with REPEATED EPS.

Horrible

I noticed that too. They messed up on the big reveal. Some commercial pops up and we don't see Florence and the audiences' audio reaction. That was one of the funniest moments of the show cut.

Going to commercial after the theme is something that I have not seen in a long time but I don't mind it. No biggie to me.

The Jeffersons did NOT leave TV Land. It will be airing on BOTH TV Land and TV One, just like Sanford & Son...

And going to commercial after the credits is not unusual. Shows did that back in the 70s and 80s in their original run. In reruns, TBS did that with Three's Company, too.

Good Times joined TV One back when they were not ad-supported. Meaning, the shows were airing unedited because of no national commercials. Things have changed now, I guess, and they seem to be ad-supported now.

Who edits more of The Jefferson's episodes? TV Land or TV One, and by how much? Of these two episodes, "Dog Gone" and one of my favorites, "One Flew Into The Cuckoo's Nest" are there any differences in how each is presented by the stations?

Finally, of these two episodes, what scenes are gone from both versions?

Jack

Agreed. At least TVOne takes commercial breaks at the end of scenes unlike TVLand who pops them in at random. I DVR The Jeffersons so I can just skip commercials...heck I do that with every show anymore. I'm waiting for some kind of signal to the DVR machine that prohbits you from skipping commercials, LOL! I taped the entire run of 227 when TVOne started up as they seemed to be mostly unedited running 24 minutes or so for each episode and since Sony stalled out after Season One.

I was suprised the Jeffersons eps still was 20/21 mins at length on TV LAND as much as cut to commercials. I swear it was going to be 18/19 min-lol

I did the same thing with 227, I think TVOne was better with their commercials because there are only 2 commercial breaks.
