Default Eagles Cowboys thoughts

I woke up this morning somewhat optimistic, I also woke up this morning with a bit of a jump in my step... I set off for philly very early this morning & all the way down I was listening to all the experts say the cowboys will kill the eagles because they will be out come kickoff time...

Yeah sure ok

Let me describe the atmosphere at the linc today. In the front of the stadium they have something known as the headhouse plaza...it is basically an inside the gates tailgate zone where you can watch all the games being played. Naturally they had the bucs & raiders on the big screen & the raw emotion in the atmosphere was amazing... You had thousands of eagles fans pulling for the raiders & a few cowboys fans rooting hard for the bucs. When the raiders put that TD on the board before halftime everyone seemed to get a burst of energy at the stadium... then the gates to the stadium opened & all the fans rushed into the stadium to see the game on the big screen inside the stadium. The bucs took a 17-14 lead, then a 24-14 lead & everyone including myself seemed a bit deflated & then michael bush stole the show & quickly its 24-21..... then garcia threw a pick and before you knew it it was 28-24. Then at that moment they tookt he game off the big screen as the players were coming out for warmups so a whole bunch of fans rushed out to the concourse & packed the area watching the game (talk about a fire hazard LOL

As time ticked away we got more & more pumped...I glance over to my left & see the texans are taking care of business & i glance to my right & I see the giants getting beat... Then the final seconds tick off 5,4,3,2,1,0 THE EAGLES HAVE LIFE.....

When I first saw the cowboys come out to warmup today I got a very very good feeling about the game in front of me.... The only person taking warmups seriously was Jason Witten.... Everyone else was goofing off, laughing & just didn't look like a team ready to fight for their playoff lives... It was quite bizarre to be honest with you... they just look like they did not give a darn.

On to the game...

All i can say is wow.... Let me say it again... WOW. Never in my wildest dreams did I think the eagles would beat the snot out of them 44-6 & to be honest the game could have been alot worse... That was pure & utter domination on both sides of the ball. The eagles O LINE manhandled the dallas D LINE & the eagles DLINE wiped the turf with the cowboys O LINE..

I have said it once I will say it again..If you put pressure on Romo he is almost always going to either fumble it or throw a pick....

That one pick he threw to sheldon brown was one of the most hidious passes I have ever seen in my life... You put any pressure on him & he is guarranteed to make a mistake.

The eagles were ferocious on defense, & they had the killer instinct tonight, they finally had the foot on the throat mentallity & the results were quite amazing. If this was a boxing match it would have been stopped in the 3rd quarter. The cowboys are a bunch of choke artists & the only 2 guys on that team who I would want on mine is Jason Witten & marion Barber...

The rest of them are worthless if you ask me starting with Romo. He may be the biggest choke artist in the history of the nfl. The key to beating dallas, put pressure on Romo, if you do that you will win almost every time...

I am so proud of my team, specifically Dawk, & Buck.. Dawk has the biggest heart around & he is one of the best leaders I have ever seen in my years as a sports fan... He has more heart in his body than all of the cowboys combined... He is the man plain and simple.....

It was a perfect storm today, it really was, everything that i needed to happen happened & the eagles took care of business. The eagles have 9 lives I swear to god, they never quit, they never give in & WE are in & the cowboys are already on the first tee.... HOW sweet it is.. It was one of the most enjoyable days of football for me in my 17 years as a season ticket holder... It is on to minnesota for a wildcard matchup against a very good vikings team. I will enjoy this one for a day or two & get ready for minnesota sunday afternoon at 430. Today was the perfect storm & By the way there is no one in this world who can tell me there is no santa claus

Sounds good. I have family up in Minnesota, a few towns away from it actually but they don't go to games or nothin. My cousins are at college so my uncle watches Vikings games on TV.
Anyways, it will be a great game next week. Enjoy the trip, game and excitement Mike!!!!

But we will definitely talk before then.

Yeah I see. My bad for not responding to your email from over 2 weeks ago yet. I read over everything. Just a lot has been going on with Christmas, family issues and everything else, but I will respond. Btw, I didn't know you had a Facebook account, that's cool.

Is the Eagles-Vikes game, really a 4:00/4:15 start next week or are you just guessing? Or maybe the time has already been confirmed.

Those guys are hall of famers who actually won playoff games. Choke artists? I don't remember them turning the ball over when the going got rough. Romo has done nothing to come close to what those 3 guys have done. I agree with Mike...you put pressure on Romo and he will make a mistake. He's an above average QB...nothing more. Is he the worst QB in the NFL? No...but he has proven that he will fold in the big games......and yea he's a better QB than Quincy Carter but that doesn't make him Dan Marino.

If losing a sporting event is the worse thing that ever happens to me,i have had a wonderful life. He said that at the post game press conference. He's said that before too. I think he's just content being the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. I don't think he wants to correct his mistakes. And if that's the case...Romo's right. In 5 years nobody's going to remember him.

He just looks lost out there most of the time... He wanted no part of that atmosphere today.. If mcnabb had the weapons ROMOdoes the eagles would be amazing... Mcnabb does all his work with average WR's. I take 5 over 9 anyday of the week... I want a guy who has guts & wants to win & i don't think romo cares one way or the other...

If Desean Jackson had brains and caught the ball lol we would be a little better. Our Wideouts aren't horrible but close to it. I really like Hank Baskett and Jason Avant. Brett Celek is good as well and is a REAL Tight end. LJ Smith is horrible, along with Reggie Brown and Greg Lewis.
