Default So were the Partridge kids only "Mildly" Talented?

Ok, I know with the exception of David Cassidy, the group didn't play their instruments, but I was watching the first episode the other day with my kids (for the 100th time!!) and one thing I was always curious about...at the end of that epi, Chris (Played by Jeremy) is PISSED off becasue their neighbor "Debbie" was playing the hell out of those drums..and he was just too through with her..now if the group is good enough to play in front of a PAYING crowd and good enough to record...wouldn't Chris be able to tear apart those drums too????? That's why I thought how talented were they supposed to be??
Just curious!

That's the thing about TV...the first thing to fly out the window is LOGIC.

Keep in mind that this is the same show that thought Ricky the neighbor would be a good idea.

I dont think anybody other than David Cassidy or Shirley Jones had any musical ability. They just needed to fake it.

While they're at it they can add Sam McKinney, Olivia Kendall, and the Katsopolis twins to their group!

I saw an interview with Danny Bonaduce once where he was talking about how irritated David Cassidy was to see him strum his bass guitar. David then went to Donny and told him "hey man you dont strum it, you pluck it". That tells you right there that Donny didnt know the difference between a lead and a bass guitar.

I can totally understand why he would be irritated. Bass is a RHYTHM instrument, not a lead. The large amount of time I've spent being projectionist/"roadie" of our church band has taught me much about different instruments and how they work.

Let's face it, even Suzanne Crough managed to make the tamborine look diffcult to play!

I think Brian Forster did a better job at fake drum playing than Jeremy did.

I agree. Brian was a better fake drummer than Jeremy.
