what is your favourite show from the past and what is your favourite in this current day?

it doesn't technically have to be a 'sitcom' per se, but it has to be show of which you are most familiar with and where you love everything about it- from the characters, storylines, situations, acting to the actors and actresses themselves.

my favourite show from the past is caroline in the city because i grew up watching that sitcom, since it aired in the uk- even though the last season wasn't great itself but i still tuned in regardless.

my favourite current show is ugly betty. i love the characters, situations, the humour, performances to name

My favorite current show would be 30 Rock. So well done and witty, and I love the characters.

My favorite past show is Three's Company. No need for explanation. It was genius, and I love it.

Current favorite: American Dad
Past favorite: The Simpsons, Futurama, King of the Hill
There's not much for live action scripted television I like anymore, too much of it relies on jarring camera zooms and random pop culture jabs.

Just one?

Current: CSI:NY. I don't believe there is a character on there that I hate, which is kinda rare.

Past: Gah...picking just one may be impossible. So many shows that I've obsessed over and watched marathons of and memorized dialogue....so, ok...in terms of longevity, the fact that I probably wouldn't watch any "classic" TV at all if I hadn't loved this first, and the fact that I was equally as interested in the actors themselves as I was their characters...I Love Lucy.
