Very nice. I would have liked to seen Andy Griffith on it too.

Thanks for this great update Charles. (and btw I found out that many eps of the Twilight are on You Tube and CBS websites - so I've started watching them - what an amazing show! Rod Serling was a true genius!)

"That would be nice but since Andy Griffith is still alive it's not eligible for consideration plus all the shows being honored are primarily from the late 40's to 50's"
That makes sense. Some great stars included for sure. |

So cool! I want me some Ozzie and Harriet Stamps!
I'm very happy Ozzie and Harriet are getting such an honor. So many times they are terribly overlooked and underappreciated. |

It would have been nice if they included Donna Reed. But at least they remembered Ozzie and Harriet. They are so often overlooked.
Sadly it doesn't seem like the remaining Nelsons are making much of an effort to keep O & H's memory alive. They should make to series available to one of the networks that show tv nostalgia. I wonder why that isn't happening. It's very sad because so many of us would love to see the Nelsons in their prime. |

I've heard the Nelsons say at various times that they were trying to get Ozzie and Harriet on cable. I've heard them mention TvLand at least a couple times. Though all TvLand is interested in now is newer shows. They have really cut back on the classics and especially black and white television.
O&H does air on ION on the Direct Tv feed. And according to the Sitcoms Online Blog Ozzie and Harriet air on 12 other local stations around the country. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/blog/ They listed which local stations around the country are airing sitcom reruns that cannot be found on cable. It's about 3/4 of the way down and posted on Christmas Day. Surprisingly, at least to me, Ozzie and Harriet had the more different channels they are airing on local stations than any other sitcoms listed. |
