Giants win, get the #1 seed, but I will be honest- they are not exactly the hands-down Super Bowl pick they were a month ago.
This is not out of spite- this is in terms of how certain players on the team have performed recently. I'll give Ward and Jacobs credit- they played well- but unlike Brian, I am not penciling them in for Tampa. Remember, recent #1 seeds have not exactly cakewalked to the biggest game in football (2004 Steelers, 2005 Colts, 2006 Chargers, last year's Cowboys) and Eli did not impress me tonight or the last few weeks. Two other factors: 1. They got off to a great start, but as we have seen in the past, it's not how you start, it's how you FINISH. 2. Just because they are the defending champs doesn't give them a free-pass in the playoffs. See last year's Colts, who couldn't beat an injury-depleted Chargers team. I will still make the Giants favorites, but with extreme caution. |

DON'T put words in my mouth. I do not have the Giants penciled in for the Super Bowl. I never said that. This was a big win, but there is still work to do. You are a HORRIBLE prognosticator FSU. |

I've come around after a month and I am actually giving the Giants credit for their win. It's just that I have had a history of assuming that 12, 13 or 14-win top seeds would waltz. I have seen many Giants games this season- they are good at times, but I got overconfident on last year's Cowboys. I am going to be VERY cautious. Good win, and that was a hell of a game for Ward! |

The Giants have had some flat-out perfect games- Rams, Seahawks, first Dallas games- but others times- not so much. I give the Giants' running game an A, but Eli a B- he had a couple of throws that I think could have been a bit better. |

Can't believe it's one more game then it's the playoffs.
Sure hope the Patriots can get in. Matt Cassell did a great job taking over for Brady. |

I think the NFC is wide open. I think the giants are the favorites, but They are not a lock for tampa. When they get that running game going, they are tough to beat. I will say that

Matt Cassell will be a rich man next year... I would not be surprised one bit if the pats franchised him as insurance for 1 year in case brady is not ready to go next year or he has another injury.. The franchise tag will earn him 14 million samolians |

I am not big on the panthers at all... I think they are good but not great... Part of me thinks they are doing this with smoke & mirrors |

On the panthers board they were saying if someone named KEMO was playing the Giants wouldn't have gotten those big runs |
