Default Man Finds Cash In Same Store Twice And Returns It

lol

AUBURN, Maine (AP) - A Maine man found a wallet stuffed with cash on the floor in a home improvement store. Two days later, it found a loaded money bag in the same store. Gil Steward was shopping Tuesday at The Home Depot in Auburn when he spied the wallet, which was stuffed with nearly $1,000 in $100 bills. He returned it to The Home Depot store's service counter, and it was returned to a very grateful owner.

On Thursday, same hour and same store, Steward saw a green money bag on the floor. Again, it was returned to its rightful owner.

His wife, Dee, said her husband thinks he's being tested. As for Steward, he said he plans to play the lottery this weekend.

Good for him! Hopefully he'll be rewarded in some way.

Returning the money? Who does this guy think he is? What ever happened to "Finders Keepers"? Is this not America anymore?

Don't be alarmed, folks. This is NOT ThomasE. It's actually his alter ego TimmyZ. Hey, if Beyonce can get one then so can I. LOL.

ThomasE would have praised the man but TimmyZ says take the money and run. LOL.

Last year, I was going shopping and in front of me I saw a young woman in front of me drop a $50.00 bill out of her jacker pocket. For a second the thought did cross my mind to take it and pocket it; plus I was right in front of a Circuit City so that $50.00 could have been quickly and easily spent.

But then I said to myself "no" and I grabbed the bill of the floor before anyone else noticed it and I chased after her with it. When I handed it back to her I could see her heart sink and her eyes lit up at me. She thanked me for it numerous times and I continued walking.

Finding a stash of money around is a little different however. For me personally if I find money in public and I do not see any owners or anyone looking around for it; I will take it for myself and I have.

But you might not want to take it if it is a HUGE amount. You don't want to wind up in No Country For Old Men and you take dirty money and have some dude with a bad bowl-cut chasing after you for it.

A Walgreens employer in another store found $10,080 dollars sitting on the ATM, and he took it to a manager who put in the safe,..... Turns out, the BONEHEAD, DEE-DEE-DEE ATM technicians accidentally left the money when they were fixing the ATM machine...... The technicians were most grateful that some customer hadn't stolen it, or even worse, an employee or Walgreens employer........ When asked by other people when he didn't steal the money, the employee answered, "It wasn't mine to take."

Back in the late '80s-2001 when I worked at a supermarket I would, whenever I gathered carts, spot wallets and/or purses inadvertently left in the buggies by customers. I would immediately return them to the store.

This guy was honest, but Walgreens employees aren't supposed to take money from the ATM in the first place. If an employee is caught pocketing cash from the ATM for themselves, it could mean immeadiate firing.......
