Well, with the calendar year almost over, there was a lot to expect in the second season of The Big Bang Theory. Well, they delivered BIG TIME. And so, the question I'm pondering to you is at do you think will happen during this next year? Will it win an Emmy Award? Will you get the Complete Second Season on DVD? Will Sheldon find somebody to love? Will Raj loosen up to women without the use of alcohol? Will Wolowitz...still be Wolowitz? And who will Leonard be hooked up with at the end of this season: Stephanie, Leslie or Penny?

I think if ratings continue to rise and critics continue to notice what is a great show, we'll def. see the show up for best comedy and Jim Parsons for a win at Best Actor or Supporting. Seriously, this show is on a roll!
In the season finale, it'd be interesting to see a love square between Leonard, Penny, Leslie and Stephanie. Maybe even Stephanie or Leslie fall for Raj, lol. That would be hilarious. Whatecver Chuck and Lee come up with, I'm sure it'll be incredible! Does anyone know if we're looking at a 22 or 24 episode season? |

Sheldon gets a nemisis.
There is no way the ratings rise. They will drop as House enters the time slot. How in the world could the ratings rise when one of the highest rated, young skewing shows on TV enters the time slot ? Ratings rise ? I'd be delighted if they stayed close to the same. No Emmys. The morons who vote for the Emmy nominations have refused to recognize the show or Jim Parsons. |

Ratings wise, what you saw in December was the result of lack of competition. Its biggest competition was annual holiday specials on ABC. Chuck and Sarah Connor are very weak competition, and Gossip Girl on The CW is not competition. I expect the show to still deliver in quality, but it will be back to 9 million or so by the time House comes. I'm not sure how many new ones it has before Jan. 19, but it had better be more than one episode. But the biggest concern is the spring. Dancing with the Stars is back as well as Daylight Savings time. Could hurt the show.

Nope. The Show returns on the 12th. Their second episode back is on the 19th.

I do agree that this show probably won't be rising again in the ratings anytime soon, but do you really think it will fall back to its old 8-9 million standards? I don't - I have hope for this show, and I think it should be able to maintain at least 10 million viewers with House in the slot.
When DWTS and daylight savings time comes, then I'd expect it to go down to 8-9 million. Spring will hurt all the 8pm shows, and BBT will just be one of the shows to experience a ratings decrease. I think this show has found a nice solid fanbase though, much larger than last season - no way would it dip back to the low 7 million range like it did last season. |
