Kiss Confirm New Album - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Glam rockers Kiss have shot down rumors the band is retiring; by confirming they will be recording a new album.

Earlier this year it was reported the group was planning a reality TV show to audition replacement band members, because founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons were getting too old to rock.

Frontman Stanley has now admitted that rumors about a new album are true, and they are currently back in the studio working on new tunes - and he's promising a treat for fans of the band's original 1970s sound.

Stanley tells Askmen.com, "It's going to be very much a vintage, classic, 70s Kiss album without much regard to what's happened since then; it's back to the roots."

Thirty years ago, KISS were the Gods of the Universe when I was in my teens, I was totally into them. But yeah, without their original lineup, it's going to be, err, interesting to see what they'll do next. If they CAN do it.

Eh, KISS are probably the only band from that era that I can't stand. I never enjoyed their music, and the only redeeming quality to them was Ace Frehley, and he's not even with them anymore.

I guess for a lot of us, KISS was so awesome then because they were one of the alternatives to disco and pop, and their concerts were so killer. But what do they do in 1979? Record a disco song!! And it came out right at the same time as the Disco Destruction Night at Comiskey Field!!
