Scene- Apartment

Jack and Chrissy are sitting on that infamous couch.

Jack: I'm so bored! I can't wait until Spring Break is over!

Chrissy: I agree, man!

Jack: Chrissy, stop acting like that. You know it gets on my nerves!

Chrissy: Sorry, man!

Jack stares at Chrissy. Janet enters

Janet: Look, guys! I got this in the mail!

She holds up a Peebles House of Money Sweepstakes envelope. stamped YOU MAY BE A WINNER

Jack: Janet, you don't beleive that, do you?

Janet: My great-aunt Anne D. Wood won $50 and a mule from these guys in the great depression!

Jack: That doesn't matter! It's a con thing!

Janet: Oh no it isn't! I'm sending this in! (Reads)
Please send in $5.00 With Form

Jack: Are you going to send it in?

Janet: Of course Jack!

Three Days Later......

Janet runs in

Janet: Jack! Look what came in the mail!

Shows envelope stamped: YOU ARE A SEMI-FINALIST

Jack: How many of them are there?

Janet looks at envelope and opens it.

Janet: There are 50,000 semi-finalists!

Jack: 50,000! What does the note say?

Janet: Ms. Wood: Please send in $15.00 with the form enclosed. The form is a little American History Quiz. You must send it in by: MARCH 14, 1978.

Jack: $15.00!? It won't happen, Janet!

Janet: Well, I'll prove you wrong.

Scene- Janet and Chrissy's Classroom

Janet is at her desk finishing the quiz

Inga: Ms. Wood, what are you doing?

Janet: Umm, ahhh.........taking notes!

Inga: Well, let me see the note!

Janet gives her the quiz

Inga: Peebles House of Money Sweepstakes American History Quiz. It is to laugh at, is it not, students?

Students Start Laughing.

Janet: May I have it back?

Inga: Okay, here. (Whispers) And the answer to number five is: Pearl Habor!

Scene- Apartment

Janet: I sent it off!

Jack: You did?!

Chrissy enters

Chrissy: Your date Anthony is here!

Janet: Tell him I can't go!

Chrissy: Why aren't you going?

Janet: I have to wait for the results.

Chrissy: Well, okay. He's going out with me then!

Chrissy exits

Janet goes downstairs to the Mail Box and finds the envelope

Janet: (reads) Sorry, but you did not win!

Sees Chrissy with Anthony laughing

Janet: I was so stupid

Jack goes to her

Jack: What does it say on the envelope?

Janet: I, I, I.....didn't win. Now, Jack Tripper, don't say I told you so!

Jack: I wasn't going to. But may I have this date?

They hug as screen fades
