INT. LIVING ROOM – DAY

Cindy is reading a story. Jake is typing.

Jake: Well now I’m finished!

Cindy: It’s really good so far!

Jake: Thank you, Cindy. What is your favorite part?

Cindy: I liked all of it. But I really liked the part where they get into that food fight.

Jake: Yeah I liked it all too.

Both chuckle. Lynn comes in.

Lynn: Hello guys.

Jake: Hi. Who was it down at the day care?

Lynn: Aha! It was awful! The kids were terrible today. It was probably those chicken pox that have been going around the center.

Jake: A package came for you in the mail today. It’s over there on the table.

Lynn: What is it?

Cindy: We don’t know. It’s from a “Mary Shield.”

Lynn: (picks up package) That’s from my grandmother.

Lynn opens the package. It is a small velvet box. She opens the box and pulls out a ring.

Lynn: Oh! Oh!

Cindy: What? What?

Lynn: My grandmother’s wedding ring!

Jake and Cindy gather around Lynn.

Cindy: It’s beautiful!

Lynn: It’s been in my in my family for almost 50 years! I will keep this on me always! Except for the shower and stuff like that.

Jake: Well I can help you in that department. We can get in the shower and I can keep the ring in my hand and I’ll keep my hand out of the water.

Lynn: Jake!

Jake: Cindy, if you have any rings that involve the shower...

Cindy: Jake!

Jake: I’m just playing. Don’t get excited.

Lynn: I’m going to put it on and get ready for my date. (exits to her bedroom)

INT. DORM LIVING ROOM – LATER – EVENING

The room is empty. The doorbell rings. Lynn comes out of the bedroom.

Lynn: I got it!

Lynn answers the door. It is Robby.

Lynn: Oh. It’s only you.

Robby: Thank you so much.

Lynn: I’m sorry, Robby. I was just expecting someone else.

Robby: That’s ok. Where’s Jake?

Lynn: He went to the grocery store to get some things for him and Cindy for dinner. What do you want him for?

Robby: I just came to tell him that I got him a date.

Lynn: With whom?

Robby: Hotlips Helen!

Lynn: Geeze, Robby!

Robby: She’s so hot and beautiful!

Lynn: Leave!

Robby: But...

Lynn pushes him out the door. She heads to the bedroom. When she gets to the doorway, the doorbell rings.

Lynn: (huffs) I got it, again!

Bob is standing at the door.

Lynn: Hi Bob! Shall we go?

Bob: Sure!

They both leave.

INT. DORM LIVING ROOM – EVENING – HOUR LATER

Cindy is watering plants. Jake comes in carrying groceries.

Jake: (struggling with bags) A little help here?

Cindy: Oh I’m sorry.

Cindy grabs two bags. She accidentally tilts a bag. A head of lettuce comes out. They both try to go it. Their heads hit. Jake flings back and Things fall out of his bags. They go down again and conk heads.

Jake: No wonder why I get so many headaches.

Cindy: I’m so sorry. I am a klutz!

Jake: I’m used to it. I mean, (nice voice) you’re not a klutz.

Cindy: That make me feel a lot better.

She hugs Jake really close.

Jake: (smirking) So do I!

They stop hugging.

They take the bags into the kitchen and come back out. Cindy starts watering again.
Jake: Where’s Lynn?

Cindy: She went out with Bob.

Jake: Really? (gets off the couch) So we are all alone?

Jake goes over to Cindy. He hugs her and starts kissing her on the neck.

Cindy: Jake! Quit! Jake, C’mon!

Cindy takes his arms off of around her and pushes him backwards. He flips over the couch and hits his head on the table in front of it.

Jake: Daddy!

Cindy: (running over) I’m sorry! Oh Jake.

The Scene fades as she helps him up.

INT. LIVING ROOM / BATHROOM – EVENING – HALF-HOUR LATER

Cindy is on the couch watching TV. We cut to the bathroom. Jake is shaving. He runs the water and rinses his face off. He dries his face and walks to the door. Cindy comes in and hits Jake with the door. He falls back and his hand knocks a ring off the edge of the sink into the sink. We hear a clank.

Jake: Oh no!

Cindy: What happened?

Jake: My hand knocked Lynn’s ring down the sink when you flung the door open.

Cindy: Oh No!

Jake: Oh yes! She’s going to kill us when she finds out.

Cindy: This is awful! It’s all my fault!

Jake: Wait! We can take the sink apart and try to get the ring out.

Cindy: That’s a great idea!

Jake: Now we have to work fast. I’ll go get some tools and you got kill the water.

Cindy: Ok.

FIVE MINUTES LATER

Jake and Cindy come in the bathroom.

Jake: Ok now first let’s take this top pipe off.

Jake takes out a wrench. He starts unscrewing a pipe. It comes off.

Jake: Hold this.

Cindy gets down with Jake. Jake takes his hand away from the pipe. Water comes bursting out! It gets all over Jake and Cindy. They Become really wet.

Jake: I thought I told you to turn the water off!

Cindy: Oh that’s what you meant! I didn’t know. You said go kill the Water.

Jake: Let’s get some buckets.

Jake and Cindy stand up. Jake slips and falls. His legs trip Cindy and she falls on Jake. They both get up again. They exit and come back a few seconds later with big buckets. Cindy fills up the buckets and passes them to Jake. He dumps them into the bathtub. They repeat this process. Cindy fills up a large bucket and hands it to Jake. He wasn’t ready for it and it falls on his foot. He holds up the foot and hops on the other. Jake slips on some water and falls to the ground. Robby peeks in the bathroom door.

Jake: Robby! Go shut off the water.

He exits and in a few seconds later the water is off. Cindy and Jake dig inside the pipe that is sticking out of the wall. Lynn comes in the bathroom. Jake and Cindy give each other the “OH NO” look.

Lynn: What are you two doing.

Jake and Cindy: Nothing!

Lynn walks over to them. She spots something in the corner of the room. It is her ring.

Lynn: I've been looking for this eveywhere.

She puts it on and leaves. Cindy and Jake look at each other.

Jake and Cindy: It never went down the sink!
They both act like they pass out and we fade out.
