I took the Season 2, Vol. 1 DVD out of the library. Rick is a guest star in an episode entitled "Harem". Other guest stars were Kay Lenz and Laurette Spang McCook. It's quite an interesting episode.

He plays the flute in this episode, too. I checked this out of the library because Gregory Sierra (

) was in one episode. I decided to watch the other episodes and found it a very compelling show!

Wanna trade libraries. The main library here only goes back to In Living Colorfor TV shows, and I aint about to watch that.

Bummer. My local public library is affiliated with the Cleveland Public Library, so there are many libraries that go through the same hold/request service. Thus there's a lot of variety. We're spoiled here.

My library doesn't have that DVD. But I am the first on the hold list for the season 4 DVD set of Saturday Night Live, and that has an episode hosted by Rick!

I can't imagine Ricky saying to Michael Douglas or Carl Molden (sp?), "Groovy man...."

I have the best of SNL '79 and Rick is in a clever skit that does a take off the Twilight Zone. It was wonderful.

Rick liked playing bad guys. He was on an ep of McCloud as a musician who'd taken part in a robbery (before his success in music) where someone got killed. Good episode. I enjoy seeing him on these types of shows more than the fluff he was often cast in, like the Love Boat. His SNL appearance was probably the highlight of his post-Ozzie acting career, and one of the highest rated eps of that series. He was so good as himself in the Twilight Zone parody, and the Candy Slice skit.

Rick's physical appearance changed so much in the years following the end of O & H series. As he says in his hit "Garden Party," he just "didn't look the same" by the early '70s.

This was a dark episode. Rick is convincing, and the newer look (I think) helps him carry off the role effectively.

And he played "bad guys" very well. (Tracy must've inherited this from him, as she always plays darker characters so convincingly!)

That episode of SNL is one of their funniest EVER as far as I'm concerned. That Twilight Zone parody is priceless! "Hey Mom, I'm home!"

I saw Tracy in a made for tv movie where she played an obsessed stalker/murderer, and I must say she was very convincing. I'd think twice before hiring her as a babysitter!
