Whats with the egotism/elitism with some types of music?( READ AND REPLY)

Ok not everything , just a couple things

Indie rock- I love indie rock, I think it's great, worked at a record store over the summer that primarily sells it, it was awesome. But what is it about it that makes people think theyre so cool? Is it because they6 heard it on MySpace before everyone else did? Also, when they dont like it when an indie rock artists goes mainstream WTF? You should be happy not go "I liked blah blah blah before they went mainstream". Maybe they like having it be their own thing, and are proud of the fact.



Younger oldies lovers(teens and maybe early 20s)- Ok im in this category, but its the same as above, some people love old and new music like me, but there are some people who love oldies and are egomaniacal about it, like "While all my friends are listening to Rihanna,Beyonce and Britney Spears, Im listening to good stuff like The Beatles, The Stones, Elvis, Buddy Holly etc. " , that's fine if you're like that, but its OK to like more styles of music, I admit I was like that at one point ,but did I brag about it? Nope, not too much, well offline LOL


Anything to add would be great, or if youve noticed things like this and others I may have forgotten, post about it!
