Default uncomfortable situation, i need help.

so i have a friend who is bi and who also happens to have a crush on the same teacher from my school that i like. and we were discussing it one day and i said, 'she has a facebook page but she won't accept friend requests from students.' i completely respect this fact so i never added her, and never talked about it with her.

my friend said "how about we make a fake account with fake pictures and add her and then talk to her on it?" she said i should do it and i said no, if you want to do it, you do it. (BIG MISTAKE RIGHT THERE). i had to sign off AIM and she said she'd do it tomorrow.

so an hour later after having given it a lot of thought i realized, omg, if she actually does this and goes too far with it and it gets back to this teacher, she might either a. never speak to me again and think i'm sneaky and a creep for having been even slightly involved, or she may think i was involved all the way which i was not, or b. we could somehow get in trouble for it. and besides it's not right and kind of an invasion of her privacy, especially when she specifically said she doesn't want us adding her on there until we are either graduating or she leaves.

so i told my friend, i don't think you should do it, i don't feel right about it and i don't want any further participation.

so the next day i found out she went through with it. i don't know if the teacher accepted the fake friend request, it probably looked suspicious and she denied it.

but do you think that after i emphasized i want no participation in it, that she (teacher) would get mad at me if she found out or that i could get in trouble of any kind? because i don't feel right about doing that to anyone, it's almost stalking them, and that's not something i do.

am i in any way wrong here? do you think i could get in trouble if the girl takes it too far, and do you think this teacher would blame me at all for what happened if she found out?

see, i wish i'd just told my friend i thought what she wanted to do was creepy from the start, but for some reason my judgment wasn't the best until i thought about it a little more.

If your not the one doing it then you have nothing to worry about it. Just cause you suggested something doesn't matter. If she does it that's her business.

that's probably true when it comes to, if i would be responsible if she got in trouble.most likely no. but if this woman found out, would she think it was my fault and be hesitant to talk to me?

Thought

I wouldn't worry about it. If she confronts you about just act like you have no idea what she's talking about. I seriously doubt it will get that far.

yeah. i'm probably just being my typical paranoid self. she probably denied the friend request anyway, my friend also sent her a creepy message. get this; she posted a picture of a random girl off google as the profile pic, pretended she went to some random college halfway across the country, and then said to her "I THINK WE HAVE MET BEFORE"

And now, no matter what happens, you have it here, all posted and dated as proof that this bothered you the more you thought about it etc.. so it's all good.

You're a sweet, good guy and I like your ethics. Unfortunately, because she IS your teacher, there is a line drawn that no matter what, cannot be passed. Don't worry though - I knew one girl at my high school who did just wait until she graduated and did end up dating one of her former teachers and they even got married. So if it's "true love" - it'll happen on it's own when the time is right.

i think she would understand that it wasn't your fault, assuming it even gets that far, which it most likely won't. if you're asked about it, just tell it like it is...you originally told her to do whatever she wants (which you can't get in trouble for because you aren't responsible for her actions) and later told her it was a bad idea. you've done nothing wrong, so don't take the risk of pretending not to know anything about it if you get confronted.

Yah exactly. If you try to "cover" anything up, then it looks as though you were guilty of something which you're not. But I agree with the others, I really don't think it would ever get that far so don't lose any sleep over it.

your responses were all helpful.
i think also that this teacher knows what type of person I am and that she would understand if she confronted me and i told her what happened. i can definitely say i'd choose telling her the truth over denying it all to spare my friend. at first i didn't see much harm in my friend's idea but the more i thought about it i realized how it was very creepy.

Okay guys I have one for you here....

At my work we have rules about what clothes you can and can't wear and I have a co worker who always wears flip flops and I work at a retail store. That co worker works in shipment where she handles boxes and puts the metal bars that hold merchandise in the store and stuff. There is a manager who works in the store, who works in the shipment and she is friends with that co worker who wears flip flops and I feel good that I can talk to her.
She was off today so I didn't want her to be there when I said something to my other manager.

I expressed concern to my manager that the co worker who wears flipflops might get hurt and turn around and sue. The manager had admitted to noticing that she does wear flip flops

After I left the office then the co worker happened to walk in to ask the manager something then as I clocked out I noticed the co worker go to her locker then when I went to my locker she took out her shoes and put them on and put her flip flops in her locker. I don't think she suspects anything but...

For those who say I'm ratting her out, let me ask you this, when you go to retail stores, do you see employees wearing flip flops when you shop?

What if she or her friend who is a manager say something to me next week? What do I say? I don't want to see the co worker get hurt and stuff.

I think that was thoughtful of you to watch out for her safety. Working in the warehouse with flip flops is dangerious.
