This is the best news I've heard in a while! Thank God for Shout Factory! They're already releasing Blossom and My Two Dads early next year and now Mr. Belvedere... it's just unbelievable! I just hope they sell enough copies, then maybe they'll release more obscure 80's/90's sitcoms.

I hope we get some nice special features. Even if it's barebones I'd still buy it. I'm just glad this show is being given a chance. I think it's like on the top 50 requested unreleased shows on tsod now.

Shout Factory is the only company who listens to our fans and I was like a kid at the candy store because I do remember watching this show and will be buying this whenever they release it...

It's about flaming time! I agree that Shout Factory is the only company that seems to care. I have been waiting for a long time to see Mr. Belvedere again so this will be well received. One another note, I wish NBC would give them the rights to Alfred Hitchcock Presents since we did not get our generous one season per year release from Universal this past October

600 minutes by 29 season one & two eps=approx 22.75 minutes per episode. I know this isn't official yet, but do the runtimes sound right for a show this age? I don't want to end up with a set that has syndicated eps on them.

First of all, it's 660 minutes.

And, if it makes you feel any better, a syndicated airing of the pilot episode, which is on dailymotion, and is from September 1989, when the show first entered syndication, doesn't even come in at 22:75 minutes. Instead, it comes in at around 22:13 minutes. And not only that, but I also have two episodes, also from syndicated reruns, and both of them come in at around anywhere but 22:75. Both of them come in respectively at about 20:16 and 20:58 minutes, although, in fairness, I think there were a few minor cutoffs from the person who recorded those two latter episodes.

And plus, who ever heard of a syndicated rerun of a half hour show that comes in at 22:75? If it was in between 21-22 minutes, that's understandable, but 22:75 just doesn't make any sense.

And, I think you meant to say 23:15, because, obviously 60 seconds=1 minute.

I meant 660 but typed 600. Without getting into seconds I'm only going by what 600 dived by 29 comes out to which is 22.75 however many seconds the .75 comes out to. I know that seems more than syndicated episode lengths, but I'm just worried because I've waited so long for this set. But again this is Shout! they have rarely let down fans with cut episodes on their sets. Also give and take a few seconds off each episode I guess that would make on average each episode almost 23 minutes. That should be right for a show from this period. The Gimme A Break episodes from a few years before Mr B premeired all clocked in around 24 minutes.

Well, not that it means much, but when I divided the number of episodes from the season 1 Father Knows Best set (also a shout factory release), which is 26, with the number of minutes on that set, which is also 660, it equaled to a little over 25.38, yet there were more edited episodes on that set, than there were unedited episodes, and obviously, this problem was fixed with the release of the season 2 set.

Assuming the .75 translates into 22 minutes 45 seconds per episode, then that is not a good runtime. The runtimes should be 23-24 minutes. Even Growing Pains season 1 episodes from the same time period run almost 24 minutes. I'm just hoping the 660 is incorrect. I won't jump to conclusions though until something official is announced.
