Default eagles giants thoughts

Wow wow wow wow wow..Let me start by saying that

The eagles tore apart the champs on their home field......

Since I have done my share of bashing Jim JOhnson & the offensive playcalling this year, I have to say this. That was the best called game on both sides of the ball that I have seen in the andy reid era. Smart smart play calls on almost every series.

If you can limit the giants to as few yards as the eagles did today, you did one hell of a job. I am very very impressed with my coaches plan for this game. Westbrook alone had more yards than the giants team

I said it yesterday when I greeted the boys at the team hotel... They got off the bus & they had a different look to them, they were all business & that carried over to todays game.

A comment about the giants defensive plan. Spags is a good DC, but why on earth would you have antonio pierce shadow Brian Westbrook??? Pierce could not cover me in the open field let alone westy....

The eagles offensive game plan was superb, they ran the ball efficiently with different schemes than I have seen this year & Marty Mornhewieg unlike andy reid doesn't abandon the run the first time it is stopped.... The giants had absolutely no answer for westbrook today, NONE.... The offensive line did their jobs & an excellent plan was executed to nearly perfection....

As far as the defensive scheme goes.... JJ did a great job, i said to brian yesterday that It was my fear that the eagles would focus too too much on the run & that eli would pick them apart... Well the eagles did shut down a very good running attack of the giants & they basically shut down the pass too... Again, awesome execution of a well designed plan.

Now about my experience at giants stadium...

My uncle has giants season tickets & he brings me every year to this game so I am familiar with the fans around me.... When I go to an opposing stadium I expect to be harrased, heckled & whatever, but it is amazing how lame the giants crowd is year after year... When I stand up & cheer for my team I expect some sort of crap from them, but nope... The only thing THat was said to me was from some jerk in the mezzanie level who was yelling down at me from there when I was walking up the stairs.... I was in the lower level & there are some pretty big giant fans around me & it is kind of disappointing not to talk smack with anyone.....

Before the game I met up with some of my cronies from the linc & we were on top of an RV painted green with the eagles logo on it & he & I were on top of the RV with mega phones singing the fight song... Again nothing but a few dirty looks & that is about it...

Anyway, my team beat the best team in football on their home field today & there is nothing anyone can say about this one.... This is one of my prouder moments in recent memory... I treated this game like my superbowl because in all reality it is.. Even if the birds win out there is no guarrantee of us getting in... I wanted this one bad & thanks to an awesome prep from the coaches & awesome execution on the field, I am happier than I have been in a long time as I type this.... There is still hope for the playoofs, but if we fall short, at least I can enjoy this one & believe me I will enjoy it for a good chunk of this week before I start preping for the browns!!!!!!!!!

GOOD JOB BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if chris berman ends up being right i think they will beat the giants again.

if said after the eagles loss on the 9th, that he still feels the eagles will play the giants two more times. well that would mean a L for the giants.

by the way, i will not watch espn until next sunday because they will be talking about the eagles all night tonight, tomorrow, wed, thursday, up until; next sunday.

only thing i will watch on espn is skip bayless and PTI

ESPN is more concerned with the college football bowl games.

Your hatred of all things Philadelphia sports is a little nuts.

There are more important things than Eagles over Giants.

Hell, it wasn't even the biggest NFL headline coming out of the Keystone State!

I agree the Eagles beating the Giants is the biggest headline. The Giants are the SB Champs...they've only lost one game all year going into today and they played at home.

You think the NFL is rigging games in favor of the Eagles?!

Sometimes, I wonder what goes on in that head of yours.

I have to hand it to the Eagles Mike. I didn't think they could do it but they totally dominated the Giants today.
