Hi, I am trying to find a short clip that was featured on Unsolved Mysteries years ago. I have only seen this clip aired on television once and I cannot find information on what episode or dvd it may be on. I have already looked through the episode guide with no luck. Anywho, any and all help would be much appreciated as this (Ghost Light) is only minutes away from our house and I was hoping to somehow get my hands on the episode/dvd as a Chrismats present for a friend. Heres the info:
Cohoke Railroad in West Point/King William, Virginia The story is about a train conductor holding a lantern while walking the Cohoke Railroad tracks and a train passed that supposdily had a chain linked to the side which decappitated that conductor as it passed (other stories have different versions of the decappitation). Now the conductor is said to roam the tracks at a certain crossing looking for his head. You would see a orblike light from afar at the tracks and it would sometimes said to flicker on and off, bounce from side to side as well as hover the trees as it made its way colser to you. When it would get very close it will dissapear and proceed its way to the opposite side of the tracks and slowly vanish. It's been called things on the order of Cohoke Ghost Lights, Cohoke Lights, Cohoke Ghost train, Ghost Light, and us locals its just Haunted Railroad or "The Light". Any information on which episode this may be on or if it purchaseable on dvd/vhs would be very helpuful. Thanks, Charles |
