I say - why not? As long as it is used for medical reasons and helps the patient feel better, I have no problem with it.

Yes, but only for medical reasons, for all other purposes it should remain
illegal

for REAL medical reasons, yes. but there needs to be stricter guidelines set up for this. i know people who are a year younger than me and somehow they have medicinal marijuana, yet...nothing is wrong with them. making marijuana legal is something i am definitely against. but in the case of medical purposes, i'd be okay with it.

Without a doubt. It is here in Canada and is "fairly" regulated. Hasn't brought down our system to be nothing but a bunch of pot heads. It's already been proven less harmful than alcohol.

And yes folks, I HAVE been using it during my treatment if anyone is curious and I'm not ashamed of it in the least. Again, just thankful that it's available to those who do need it.

O.k. - Who pooped in the poll with the "other" bringing our unanimous yes vote's average down?

Default Rest In Peace, Robin Prosser

Here's the story of a woman in Montana who had a severe chronic pain disease. Her body was allergic to all chemicals, and she couldn't take any drugs. Marijuana was the only thing that took her pain away. Despite being legalized for medical use in Montana, the ********s at the DEA stepped in and wouldn't allow her to use it. Her pain became so unbearable that she killed herself last year. Here's her story.

Marijuana should be legal period; medically and for recreational use.

Wow, that is so awful. Since medical marijuana was one of the big issues here this past election, the local news interviewed people who were for and against it. This one ignorant girl said, "It definitely should not be legalized because then everyone would be high all the time." Well, alcohol is legal, and "everyone" isn't drunk all the time. If someone is truly against it, they should at least have a good reason to back that up, and not some lame cop out because they can't think of anything else.

Yes, it should be. I voted for it in this year's election, and it got the majority of the vote here.

Exactly. And news for that ignorant girl. If you're in pain or nauseated so much that gravol and the traditional drugs don't help. but grass does, you don't get "high" off of it because it's going to the pain centres of the brain. If you get a high feeling off of any painkiller or drug, then it means you're taking too much.

It just kills me that there's still this stigma attached to marjiuana, especially for people who could really use it to make their quality of life better, yet I just read yesterday that in Toronto they're now proposing that alcohol be allowed in movie theatres because attendance is down. So they stopped letting you smoke (pretty obvious why) but now drunks can show up at your local movie theatre. That really makes a lot of sense.
