OREGON, Wis. – A Wisconsin family found it hard to be thankful after a thief made off with their turkey dinner.

Lillian Moore says she sent a cooler stuffed with Thanksgiving food to her daughter Cindy, only to have it stolen from her porch.

Moore packed the cooler with half a turkey, potatoes and salad. She left it on her daughter's porch Wednesday evening because her daughter's refrigerator was too small to hold the food.

When Cindy Moore went to get the turkey Thanksgiving morning, the cooler was gone.

Cindy Moore says she had to buy turkey using money she sets aside for bills. The disabled single mother didn't bother reporting the theft to police.

Lillian Moore says it's "just awful" to steal from people who don't have much.

Stealing Thanksgiving dinner from a disabled single mother?!?! I think someone is getting coal in their stocking this year!!! What a disgusting and heartless thing to do.

Wow, that's pretty pathetic, not to mention heartless!! If the guy needed food that bad, I'm sure there were plenty places he could have gone to, like a food kitchen or something, but stealing from a disabled mother is a chicken**** thing to do!! I wonder how he felt anout himself as he was eating that meal??

i just hope someone finds this guy and gives him what for. i am not talking about them beating the crap out of him, but realise what a heartless and inconsiderate human being he is. and the fact that he stole from a physically handicapped person just takes the cake
