Grammer, Neuwirth reunite for 'Fame' - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Cheers stars Kelsey Grammer and Bebe Neuwirth will appear together in the remake of Fame.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pair will play an orchestra conductor and a dance instructor at the New York City High School of Performing Arts.

Charles S. Dutton, Debbie Allan and Will & Grace's Megan Mullally will also star in the new version of Alan Parker's 1980 musical.

MGM's Fame is scheduled for release on September 25, 2009. It will be helmed by Kevin Tancharoen and features a cast of relative unknowns in the student roles.

So I was totally against this remake, until I read this. Kelsey Grammer, Bebe Newirth, and Megan Mullally. What's not to love?

i was too young to ever remember the original version, but if this remake is as good as, or even better than say hairspray, then i'd definitely grab it on dvd when it comes out
