Question Your shaving regime

Most of us shave, whether it's your face or legs, etc. I prefer the disposable razors for my legs and pits. I use my husband's shaving cream, which is a high-quality one with moisturizers.

My husband uses a standard razor, Mach 3. He has two electric razors, a straight and a rotary. He uses an electric razor when he's in a hurry. He's got it all, the pre-shave and after shave lotions, a nose hair trimmer, lol, tiny scissors. He has a mustache trimmer that he also uses for his sideburns and neck in between visits to the barber. He drives me nuts, always having me pluck long or white hairs out of his eyebrows and ears with tweezers, etc.

What we do for love.

I lost most of the hair on my head from MPB at around age 20. I usually sport a shaved head (or a stubble), with a goatee or a chinstrap.

I shave my head about once a week usually on the weekends. Barbasol with Aloe shaving cream and a Gillette hand razor. I usually shave both my head and facial hair at the same time so the hair grows in evenly and then I trim the beard according to what I want during the week.

I don't work on my eyebrows cause I was fortuante enough not to grow in a unibrow and no hair comes out of my nostrils.

As for body hair I trim the hair on my chest for the summer and I get my shoulders and back waxed at some Asian salon place in my neighborhood. During the winter I let my body hair grow because it does keep you warm lol.

BTW and no I don't shave "down there".

I use disposable razors myself, for shaving my legs, under arms, and other, unmentionalbe areas..

I hate shaving.

My beard should give it away.

I am going to shave soon though with the holidays coming up.

Don't shave anywhere else.

I used to have my eyebrows and upper lip waxed. No I don't have a mustache, lol. I ended up buying a hot wax hair removal kit. You heat the wax put it on, then press strips on the skin and do a sharp rip. Well, I just about ripped off all the skin over my upper lip, lol.

Kind of nosey, aren't you, Janice?

I shave the old fashioned way... shaving cream and a razor. I would have a thick beard if I let it grew, so I have to shave practically every day.

You know we've reached the end of the Internet when we're talking about shaving. Next up, bathroom habits.

Ouch!! ha. I plick my eyebrows. I use ice to numb the skin around that area, so removing the unwanted hairs is not so painful.

Next, time use a couple of ice cubes and tweezers; not as painful or as messy!

I use an electric razor. It also has a trimmer that I use for my mustache and sideburns.

I used to use shaving cream and a blade, but I kept cutting myself. (once I was using a blade to trim my mustache, too. But it slipped, and I cut my bottom lip. OUCH!!!!)

(I had my top lip tucked in)

I just use body wash and my Venus razor to shave my legs, pits, and in between my legs. Also thanks to my wonderful Polycystic ovarian syndrome, I have facial hair that I just shave right off as well.

I shave more during the Spring and Summer, but during the colder months I do it less because I need the warmth, if you know what I mean. What does it matter when we mostly wear pants during those months anyway?
I'm now using men's razors because they are made of a better steel and they give my legs a closer shave. I hate women's razors, cheap dull crap.

I tried the wax thing on my brows once - never again! The darn wax was too hot and dripped into the eyebrow itself. Yep - you guessed it - a big bald patch in the middle of my eyebrow!! LOL I was going to a dance that night and had to run out to buy some good eyebrow pencil to fill it in!

I then bought a professional wax kit this past summer. What a nightmare! the messiest stuff I've ever seen. I'm back to the old razor in the shower now. That, or I'll switch to a machete!!

Tara - better for eyebrows - use a topical anaesthetic instead of the ice cubes. Ice will shrink your pores, making it tougher to pluck the hairs. A topical anaesthetic will do the trick and leave your pores open making it easier to pluck painlessly. Also, if you put a hot washcloth on them for a couple of minutes before plucking, it opens your pores allowing you to get the hairs better.

I miss my Epilady so bad!

Better than shaving your face, go with a facial wax kit, or if it's not too bad, bleach it with Jolen creme bleach (found in drugstores).

You can also use pumice to rub it off. The hairs don't grow in as noticably heavy then.
