I am going through a box of about 25 or so VHS tapes I made in the mid-1980s when the Disney Channel carried "The (Missing) Adentures of Ozzie & Harriet." In most cases I can match the program with the episode guide based on the title and air date. I have one that I can't find although it may be obvious. David and his date are invited to a married friend's house for dinner. He comments that most of his friends are married or engaged. Ozzie wonders if it is a trap to sell David on the married life. It ends with a party at the Nelson house where a special announcement is going to be made. As it happens, the announcement is that another couple that is getting engaged, not David. Wally is in the episode at the party and Rick sings two songs. Anyone recognize this one? Thanks!

Yeah I recognize the episode ! I have that one too. I like the line where while Ozzie is trying to disaude Dave from marriage due to simple economics, grocery bills come up and Harriet says that two can eat as cheaply as one. Ozzie replies, Yeah if one of them is on a diet.
And all those cokes trembling on the tray when Wally says Dave has an announcement to make! But I'm sorry I do not know what the title of the show is.

7.28 [234] Ozzie & Harriet:ALWAYS A BRIDEGROOM 22Apr59 Prod. no. 27-236 --Dave and a girl friend are invited to dinner by a young married couple. Ozzie immediately jumps to the conclusion that the newlyweds are planning to convince Dave of the joys of wedded bliss. Rick probably sang these 2 songs: All In The Game & Tear Me Up If you have interest in trading, I am down to needing around 67 episodes to complete the series. I am looking for any episodes that I don't have plus upgrades on a few others. |

Wow, only 67 episodes needed, you have a wonderful collection, I surely envy you. I have a little over 200 and can't seem to find anymore. My only hope is they will release some more.

I agree that needing only 67 episodes is amazing. For me, I would be content to just get as many of the "Thorny" episodes from the early seasons as possible. Those are clearly my favorites.
CJ: What reference or guide are you using for your very detailed episode/synopsis information? I bookmarked the various online O&H episode guides but your source is far more detailed than anything I've found online. |

Here is the link to the episode guide I referenced. The first link is to the Ozzie & Harriet episodes only and the second link is the main website with an alphabetical list of episode guides to other shows he has compiled. http://ctva.biz/US/Comedy/OzzieAndHarriet.htm http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/Stage/2950/ I actually cut and pasted the info and keep it in my own document with the episodes, just in the event it ever disappears from the internet. The reference to the songs Rick sang is from my own log I keep with episodes containing songs. |
