London, Nov 21 (ANI): With a short top, front and sides and flowing mane at the back, mullet was a rage in the Eighties, however, now the hairstyle has been voted as the 'most cringeworthy craze of all time'. Beating other fashion disasters such as bum bags and leg-warmers, the horror hairdo has topped a poll of the worst crazes ever. Top celebrity crimper Richard Ward says: "This awful hairstyle may have been OK in the Eighties, but this is one look that will never come back into fashion. "It will go down in history as the world's worst cut. Thank God it has gone for good." Nineties nightmare the shellsuit was the second worst fad in the online poll of 3,000 people, reports The Sun. The shiny, garish-coloured outfits were launched as sportswear but for some reason became a fashion must-have. Third in the terrible trends list is the Crazy Frog ringtone. Fourth on the list is another Eighties hairdo - the bubble perm. Irritating craze number 5 is Tamagotchi virtual pets. The pocket-sized computer creatures were massive in the mid-Nineties as kids went crazy for the egg-shaped toy. Number six is addictive reality TV such as current ratings winner 'I'm A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here', while the dance routine to mind-numbing 1996 hit 'Macarena' is No7. The eighth most ridiculous craze is the 2004 fashion trend for ponchos. Adidas popper tracksuits, featuring trouser legs with "poppers" all the way down, are at No9 and rounding off the top ten is the current obsession with online social networking sites such as Facebook etc. Other sad crazes to feature in the grabitnow.com poll include lava lamps, leg-warmers and the bum bag, beloved of British tourists. A spokesman for grabitnow.com said: "Although our research reveals the worst fads, every year we see a relaunch of a classic craze. The mullet became a massive craze in the Eighties - but when you look at images of the style now, it does look ridiculous." The Top Ten Most Ridiculous Craze Of All Time are: 1 Mullet 2 Shellsuit 3 Crazy Frog ringtone 4 Bubble perm 5 Tamagotchi virtual pets 6 Reality TV 7 'Macarena' song 8 Ponchos 9 Adidas popper tracksuits 10 Social networking sites like Facebook (ANI) http://in.news.yahoo.com/139/2008112...-cringewo.html i cannot believe people would leave out 80s shoulder pads, i mean, for me it should be on the list |

LOL! The mullet actually looked good on a few people. "Few" being the key word here.
And what is a bubble gum perm? |

I'm surprised the beehive wasn't mentioned.

Besides the mullet remember when girls of the 80's wore their hair shorter on top and the hair stood on end with mousse? That was so ugly.

I don't remember Sheena's but the girls bangs were gelled straight up on top of the head. The rest of the hair was long or shoulder length. It looked stupid! haha Kind of like this

I showed my mom the pic, my mom cuts my hair since she used to be a liscenced cosmotologist, and she's like "you didn't have one". Oh, yes I did!!!

Twilight should be on that list. Down the line people will definately be embarrassed that they went so crazy over that lousy series. I think it's hilarious how people are defending it and saying how good it is NOW, but later I think they'll regret it!
