Injured Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas, for reasons unknown, will be immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds in Washington D.C. later this afternoon. The press release, via Wizards Insider:

A team of Madame Tussauds studio artists flew in from London, UK to conduct a figure sitting with Arenas at the Verizon Center earlier this year. They took hundreds of measurements and photos of him, as well as selected eye, hair and skin tone matches for his figure, which will don Arenas' signature #0 Washington Wizards home uniform — donated by Arenas.

Gil, who is scheduled to attend the event, will be a part of the attraction's sports area alongside figures of other iconic athletes, including Tiger Woods, Babe Ruth, Muhammad Ali and Dan Steinberg.

If you plan on attending the unveiling, please, no matches or lighters. And oh, take pictures!
